Ever ready to spoof real-life, SNL staged a “TIDAL is broken” segment – of course referencing the tech issues which saw the streaming platform botch roll-out’s of some of its exclusive albums.
This go round, Ari – playing the role of intern Chloe – was there to save the day.
Watch below as she performs tracks from the likes of Britney Spears, Rihanna, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion when TIDAL….malfunctions.
The shade was thick, but so too is Ari’s talent.
Ahead of the May 20th release of her ‘Dangerous Woman’ album, we’d love to see more personality. Because, while her voice is (and ultimately should be) enough, we live in an age where folk want to be warmed by an artist’s personality too and up til now aspects of Ms. Grande feel nondescript.

That Rihanna “impression” did make me laugh, honestly but…
1) She should stay away from singing Whitney Houston – her voice is far too light, bright and thin with abolsutely no weight or size to it to truly imitate a voice that was rich, full of color and had depth in all areas of her voice.
2) The Britney and Celine impersonations are boring and dated now.

Anyway, I’m not still impressed with her “new” sound. She seems like such a lost artist who doesn’t who she wants to be and what audience she wants to target.
