In what has to be one of the more bizarre Tyra Show episodes I’ve ever seen, yesterday’s show tackled the topic of women who abuse their male partners. I won’t spoil it, but this is definitely a must-see.

I sure as hell don’t condone violence either way, but some of this was seriously disturbing; particularly the fact Ms. Kendra looked like she was gonna whoop her guy when they got home!

Pop superstar Britney Spears gave the first live (loose term) performance of ‘Womanizer’ at Germany’s Bambi Awards tonight. I’m gonna need to see more performances, as the theatrics and major spectacle really veiled whether or not Ms. Spears still has it or nor – which after all is what we all want to know.

While promoting his debut album ‘Just A Rolling Stone’ (did anyone else NOT know it was out?! LOL) on Rock Me TV, Donnie decided to air out Danity Kane’s Aubrey. I won’t ruin it, however I doubt Aubrey will be pleased to hear his comments. SMH:

You’d think Donnie would have more sense than to trash his co-star and ‘expose’ the behind the scenes aspect of a show he is still starring in with the very same Aubrey. Then again, I guess these are the type of stunts pulled when your album sells a pathetic 20, 000 copies – as Donnie’s did. Any publicity is good publicity, ey?

Rapper Kanye West was arrested today after a scuffle LAX airport in Los Angeles:

Kanye West has just been arrested at LAX for felony vandalism. A still photographer was trying to take pics of Kanye at the American Airlines terminal. According to our guy on the scene, Kanye allegedly confronted the photog and smashed his camera to the ground.

Our photog then began videotaping the scene when Kanye’s assistant grabbed our camera — a struggle ensued and the assistant threw the video camera to the ground, breaking it. When Kanye realized our camera guy had videotaped the incident, he rushed our guy and yelled, “Gimme that f**king tape!”

Both Kanye and his assistant have been arrested and will be booked. {Source}

British musician Tricky (no I don’t know who he is either) blames Hip-Hop for rising crime in the UK, insisting ‘it has created a generation of angry and violent young men’. Check out the report via Contact Music below:

The artist, who mixes rock, hip-hop and pop in his music, claims parts of Britain are now more dangerous than New York, and the popular hip-hop culture must be held responsible.

Tricky – who has performed with Massive Attack – says, “I love hip-hop, but it has to take some responsibility for the gun culture we’ve got over here. We’re getting super-violent. You can walk around the Bronx for days on end and nobody bothers you. “In England, you can say the wrong thing in a pub and, before you know it, you’ve got a bottle over your head or a bullet in your brain. English people have got quicker tempers.”

His genuine opinion? Maybe. A publicity stunt? A possibility. Stupid? Hell yes! Granted the crime rate here in the UK has risen in recent years (and is a hot topic in the media at present), it’s very unoriginal to take aim at Hip-Hop. To say the mainstream UK Hip-Hop movement is lacking would be an understatement, so I’m assuming he means US Hip-Hop (the only kind we’re exposed to on mass). Yet, he’s contradicting himself in his ‘parts of England are tougher than the Bronx’ statement, as it’s largely the same thing we’re listening to around the globe. What’s more, without generalising, it’s highly unlikely that you’d find your average Hip-Hop listener in a ‘pub’. For someone who claims to ‘love Hip-Hop’, he sure did little to show it.

In a broader context, I wanted to know if you feel Hip-Hop is responsible for violence/crime in your own locality/country? If so, why? If not, why?

Will you ever address the rumors of plastic surgery?

I feel like I have already addressed that back in the day. I just hate that I admitted to it and people will say on the Internet that I don’t look the same, “Oh, she is so plastic surgeried.” I don’t look like some freak. I still look like Vivica Fox. Stop it with that! I am in a business where I get paid to look good, but I’m very proud to have African-American features. I have not changed my nose! Yeah, I have experimented with it, but no, I’m not doing any more of that plastic surgery crap. I’m not the first or the only one, but I’m the idiot that admitted to it. Now everyone says, “That is her whole look.” I take care of myself.

Following a string of flop singles, it appears Nicole Scherzinger is taking heed to calls for her to return to the Pussycat Dolls. Songwriter Sean Garrett, in a recent interview with our friends over at Rap-Up.com, confirmed that he is currently contributing to a new Pussycat Dolls record. When probed about the status of Nicole Scherzinger’s much delayed ‘Her Name Is Nicole’ LP, Garrett stated that Scherzinger is still working on the project (huh?!) and there is to be some form of tie-in with the Pussycat Dolls album. What exactly that means is anyones guess. Whatever the case, here’s hoping it marks an end to Nicoles dire solo assault on the charts. {Source}

The coroners report on the death of Kanye West’s mom, Dr. Donda West, was made public today. According to the report, West died of ‘coronary artery disease and multiple post-operative factors due to or as a consequence of liposuction and mammoplasty’. Put simply, she had a heart attack after the surgery. A definitive cause of death, therefore, could not be established. Dr. West died on November 10th. {Source}
