Looks like Kim Burrell will soon have company if the response to ‘Set It Off’ star Vivica A. Fox’s recent comments are to judge by.

Indeed, the actress ‘set off’ a firestorm of Twitter clapbacks after taking to the Breakfast Club this morning to promote her new Lifetime-aired reality show, ‘Black Magic’ – a black male stripper’s competition (a la ‘Magic Mike’).  Never one to mince words, when quizzed on if her “boys” would ever entertain gay men as well as ladies, Fox’s response didn’t sit too well with some viewers.

In fact, so many viewers voiced their displeasure the actress was prompted to take to Twitter to offer a clap back.  Tuck in below if  you missed any of the action:

    • FAF January 6, 2017

      • FAF January 6, 2017

        Booty***

    • LISA LEVINE January 7, 2017

Are these people crazy. TWO OF HER STRIPPERS ARE KNOWN IN THE GAY COMMUNITY AS BEING “GAY”. The black community has truly disappointed with these OLD SCHOOL anti gay stance. FOOLS

    • LISA LEVINE January 7, 2017

STEVEN BECK is gay. 100% a muscle Atlanta homosexual. Not only does he strip for gays but he’s a member of there community. VIVICA sounds stupid when one of her Strippers is GAY.

  2. Danny Bey January 6, 2017

Lawd the gays are just gettin shaded these first couple days of the year!

    • Danny Bey January 6, 2017

      *sarcasm

  3. King January 6, 2017

Whole time there are two guys on her show that are gay, she better watch it.
Also, if it’s the right coins why not dance for the gays. These men shaking their hips popping there booty but they don’t want to dance for gays. Lady Viv please have several seats you lost.

    • Delroy January 7, 2017

Its just sad homophobia I guessed they think that gays will jump them and r*** them which is sad. Look at what that lady said on so called celebrity big brother UK. From what this shows is just how ignorant alot of black women are at least my sister and aunty are just a few that are not. Homophobes are just as bad as racist end off.

  4. Ughhhh January 6, 2017

They don’t dance for guys. Oh well who cares. The offense level in this world is beyond compromise. Fight battles worth fighting for, I am sure the gays don’t want those men dancing for them anyway.

    • M.S. January 6, 2017

The backlash comes from the way she responded. They don’t have to perform for gay men but she said “Hell No!” and “There’s no need to…” almost like she was offended by the question or even disgusted at the thought.

She could’ve just said, “No. This is for ladies only,” and kept it moving but she seemed a little upset by that question.

Same with Kim Burrell. Many ppl were mad with how she said what she said. Sometimes it’s how you say things.

      • Bookbook January 7, 2017

Gays have been the new bullies for the past few years disrespecting women but calling it shade. But when someone replys back they wanna play victim like someone hurt their souls. Some are just evil live in this fantasy world of social media. If she only want women as her target so be it. If you dont like it. Make ur own gay strip club. And stop saying women are stealing your culture when you know damn well a fem gay guy is mostly made up by a black sassy women

  5. RhiRocks January 6, 2017

Gay people discriminate all the time they just like everyone else, some are nice some are horrible most are very bitchy

    • LiveZ January 6, 2017

Most are really “bitchy?” You talk about an entire group like that then wonder why they clapback?

    • Delroy January 7, 2017

Same as straight black people o wait there worst

  6. Weezy Tha Goat/Zayn is ? January 6, 2017

Gays are always bitching about something. Damn!!! STFU.

    • Molly #Stargirl January 6, 2017

      Right.

    • RCW January 7, 2017

Closed mouths get nothing. The LGBT community stands up/fight for change…pay attention…while you’re trying to be smart smh

  7. B_Roni January 6, 2017

I’m gay but gay people irritate me sometimes. A lot of them are just annoying. Like who cares. Jeez. How you gonna ask someone to respect you but can’t respect their opinions or beliefs. It’s her show not yours.

    • TRUTH SERUM January 6, 2017

You’re right in this one Roni. There are plenty of fine gay guys and straight gay for pay guys that will strip. Pick your battle. For Christ sakes, we’re talking about strippers.

    • rdfadsf January 7, 2017

its not about that its how it was said oh hell know when to of the men are backing money of gay people behind close doors

  8. BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 January 6, 2017

Let the ladies have SOMETHING FOT THEMSELVES! Gay men we have MORE THAN ENOUGH EYE CANDY for ourselves!

  9. Liam January 6, 2017

She didn’t even cross as offensive..I’m gay and I saw the point she was getting across it really wasn’t that deep.

  10. DJ January 6, 2017

I can’t watch the video but maybe the dancers took the job to dance for women and don’t want to be forced to dance for other men. Is that wrong?

  11. Really Tho ? January 6, 2017

No gays allowed but you got one dancing/stripping for the women coming to your shows. HA! ??

  12. Ajm265 January 6, 2017

PSA: Attention black women and people in general!!! When it comes to gays and gay issues say nothing at all everything will be blown out of proportion.

    • Believe Me January 7, 2017

Yes they should just be quiet because black women can laugh with gays, get their weaves and makeup done by gays and hangout with them but expect them not to be human when something is said that’s offensive. Since straight black women and other straight ppl don’t know what it’s like to be gay and don’t go through the things gay ppl go through, if they don’t have anything nice to say they shouldn’t say anything at all.

  13. Molly #Stargirl January 6, 2017

I dont see the issue her men are dancing for woman not gay men.

  14. Chileplease January 6, 2017

I know the Latin guy. He’s gay. So I’m sure he’s entertaining his own set of gays lmao

    • Lea January 6, 2017

      Guh quit lying!

    • Chileplease January 6, 2017

Chile..google is your friend. Steven Beck = gay. Jonathan Martinez = gay. No need to lie. They ain’t Beyoncé

  15. Jamie January 6, 2017

Ok, this is getting out of control. I like men, and I hate that I do sometimes. However, when somebody speaks against gays, it doesn’t offend me. I don’t care that much. Especially if I don’t know the person. Gays seem to be the most sensitive people on the planet. Let stuff roll off.

    • Um. January 6, 2017

Forreal. They are quickly becoming the most entitled people in America. The LGBT community is still finding their way, but it seems as though they don’t know the difference between acceptance and agreement. They’re not interested in people accepting them for who they are. That’s not enough for them. They need everyone to agree with them. It’s as if they’re demanding validation. This approach to achieving equality is not sustainable.

      • Jamie January 7, 2017

        Exactly!!!

      • RihBeyGa January 7, 2017

everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions but when you say them in public places or forums you open it up for interpretation from everybody. This obviously was not offensive, taken out of context by an overly sensitive community. However it is not entitlement that makes people speak out over something they may deem targets a group of people, its the same when someone says something racist. If you say nothing it just opens the door for more of that kind of attitude.

I’m fairly certain that troves of people who like to comment about homosexuality as a sin, are also doing several sinful things, but you want to pick one that you think other people are committing and choose to focus on that instead of working on yourself and not sinning because its much easier to judge other people than to take up personal responsibility.
Lesson: keep whatever religious beliefs you have and live your life. Everybody else is free to live their life, you focus on yours, and try to have empathy and love for other people even if you don’t share the same beliefs. Love thy neighbor. Only God can judge.

  16. Chileplease January 6, 2017

Well you gotta understand that MOST people aren’t offended. It only takes a few to call foul and then it seems like the entire community is upset. All it takes is a few tweets from a few people and then everyone is painted with the same brush.

  17. juni January 6, 2017

well alvester is def a gay dude and i know one other is gay too so whats the big deal!

  18. Rocka January 6, 2017

Im not sure if she’s trying to maintain a fantasy… The question is… What does dancing for gays mean to her? I’d ask her that… If there comfortable why not let ’em twerk for the Kidz. Her performers are no stranger to gay club scene.
Heat has danced at gay clubs before, and Axel has performed in numerous gay xxx flicks. #Diversify #GetThatMoney #HeteroFlexible

    • Rocka January 6, 2017

Side Note: The Chippendales and Thunder From Down Under allow men in the audiences (they don’t interact with the males but they respect their presence)… Why limit earning potential???

  19. Kimk January 6, 2017

The media is calling out homophobic black women, it’s been going on for so long, this is a problem in the black community, forgetting that blacks fought for equality and fair treatment for something they could not change (skin color) and now today disrespecying gays for something that they cannot change (sexual preferences)

  20. Your Mother January 6, 2017

I am glad she clapped back. These f*** think everyone is supposed to walk on egg shells when talking about them.

    • Shaquiiii January 6, 2017

walk on egg shells. No b****. Be respectful, yes.

      • Hmmm… January 6, 2017

Nah. Many Gay people most definitely have this, “everyone needs to kiss our asses”, complex going on. It seems that as far as the gay community is concerned, everyone that disagrees with them is against them. It’s extremely counterproductive to their cause, as it’s becoming very evident that many lgbt supporters have adopted the same condemnatory language that has been used to oppress them.

  21. Tru January 6, 2017

But I know for a fact 3 of them started in a gay club

  22. Shaquiiii January 6, 2017

Wow what C*nts. “oh hell no”… “we don’t need that kind of money”.

  23. gurlbye January 7, 2017

Meanwhile Steven Beck was piping down ole slutty Duncan James from Blue.
    Get into it.
