Official still shots from Beyonce’s new movie ‘Cadillac Records’ surfaced today. The superstar stars as the great Etta James in the movie, which also sees features Cedric The Entertainer, Mos Def, Gabrielle Union among others.
Randomness: Ms. Knowles reportedly gained 15 pounds for the role.
This one certainly looks like a winner. Will definitely be checking this out upon its release on December 5th.

Okay, well this looks okay, but I have to wait til the trailer comes out.THere are two things that you should now or people in general about this film.
Irregardless of how they market it, THIS IS NOT A BEYONCE MOVIE I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A BEYONCE MOVIE. This movie stars OScar Winner Adrien Brody and it is about the ARTISTS of Chess records and Etta James is MERELY one of them. The script leaked online in March and I read it, she only has 4 or 5 scenes in the entire movie unless they drastically change it. Adrien Brody is the star Beyonce is just a supporting character. Secondly I like her music, but her acting isn’t that great, but I do HOPE that she has improved. We’ll see.

Dont say that, even if 10 people go to the movies she still would’ve did what her hearts desired. They did not give this woman these parts she audition just like everyone else and got the part. Her work ethic is off the chain and she get’s mad respect for that alone.

Jada & Will also produced The Secret Life of bees, but they werent in it. Yes this movie is more about the record label and not Etta James, but they are going to promote it like it's a Beyonce movie so it can briing in the cash.
I’m more interested in her movie with Idris Elba, Obsesseion! Because we all know she can sing. I want to see her in a role where she can’t fall back on the singing and dancing, that way we can get to the real abilities that she may or may not possess. Anyway, more power to her for following her dreams. Either way, her fans will see the movie on the big screen or buy the DVD, so money will be made regardless.
Obsession sounds like garbage to be honest. If it comes out in January or February that means it is garbage. Idris definitely needs to get better film roles.This film is more interesting.IMHO..
