With Usher’s ‘Papers’ still keeping many a folk talking, a new Red One produced cut – said to be from his forthcoming LP – has surfaced in the form of ‘Rockband’. Noteworthy most in that it is not a very ‘Usher’ type track, I must say I’m really feeling this one….a lot. With its pulsating R&B production and slinky Dance undertone, I found instantly likeable, and upon a few more plays mildly addictive!
It goes to show, the shock tactics and theatrics (see: ‘Papers’) aren’t what makes a hit; it’s simply good material. Usher’s as yet untitled LP is set for release December.
