Hot on the promotional trail for her ‘Rated R’ LP, Rihanna called in to the The Bert Show on Q100 radio station in Atlanta to discuss many a topic. The interviewers asked whether she missed ex-Chris Brown, if rumours of her dating actor Tristan Wilds of (from TV show ‘The Wire’) were true and more. Here’s what the Bajan beauty had to say:
Interviewers: Do you still miss Chris?
Rihanna: Um, sometimes. Actually yes. There are alot of reminders, alot of hotel rooms, alot of places that we’ve been to together, music, different things that come up that are reminders of your ex….I’ve gotten over it, but there’s definitely constant reminders. Alot of it is listening to the radio, songs that come on, that were our favorite songs or his songs.
Interviewers: Is there any truth to the stories that you’re dating Tristan Wilds [The Wire]?
Rihanna: I don’t even have his number…I had a house party, this is funny, you know how a bunch of people come over that you don’t even know. And he came by, which was fun for me, I appreciated the company and he brought a bunch of friends….but I dont even have his number, so I dont know how I can be dating him.
Interviewers: Are you even open to dating right now?
Rihanna: Um, no. I’m a very flirty girl though…
Ms. Fenty sure ain’t shying away from talking about the Chris Brown scenario at any chance it’s presented to her, is she? Funny, for, when they were together, they both remained so tight-lipped about it all – despite the countless pictures and whatnot. Yes, ‘the incident’ happened, but considering she said in her 20/20 interview that the main thing that annoyed her was that relationship shouldn’t be the public’s business, it’s somewhat confusing to see her so open about it. Artists such as ‘she who shall not be named’, have effectively managed to keep her private life private, and, most importantly, keep the focus on her music, so there are workable ways for Ms. Fenty to do the same. That said, when your music lacks substance and leaves a lot to be desired, what other options other are there? I’m just saying…

I’d have to say I can’t understand your obsession with downing Rhianna. I’ve been reading this site for about 2 years now and everytime some tidbit of news appears about Rhianna, Sam, you to out of your way to make negative comments such as ” I wasn’t aware anybody was waiting for her record IMO”. If this young lady is such a bane to your existance, and you HAPPEN to be the controller of this website, why not ignore anything that has to do with her?!?!?!
I’ll venture to say it’s because Ms. Fenty is one of the biggest pop acts there is on the scene, and while her vocal prowess is somewhat lacking, you can’t understand all the appeal. Yet, every bit of information that you can find, every picture that circulates, every on camera interview that is out there, gets posted on thatgrapejuice.net, with the subsequent catty comments. If anything, there must be many other readers on this site that are equally as confussed as to why you show such interest in her, only to always bash her name. Did she turn you down for an interview or something?!?!?!
I think the part that bothers me so much, personally is that I look to this site for non-Perez Hilton-esq information on my favourites stars, and this is what I find almost on a daily. I mean the negative comments are a turn off, especially for a guy…..uhhh…..IMO.

I’ve been reading this website for almost a year now and your constant digs at Rihanna are really starting to tick me off to the point where I don’t want to visit this website anymore. And I know others feel the same, I was over on one of the music forums yesterday and everyone was saying how biased you are towards (and against) certain artists.
Fine, we all have favorites. But for someone who has previously talked about being a “music journalist”, you are not very fair or balanced. I like to come here to get news on my favorite artists, and your constant disses at certain artists (most notably Rihanna as of late) are very unappealing and take away from your otherwise enjoyable and informative blog. If you want to share your personal opinions that’s fine, but at least make your criticisms legitimate and constructive. Because right now you just sound bitchy and petty, taking every possible opportunity to diss Rihanna.
And on a side note, Rated R is actually brilliant. The best album of her career and easily one of the best albums of the year. Just because it is so different does not mean it is bad or “lacking”. And Russian Roulette is a top 10 hit and has gotten majority positive critical review. But maybe you were too busy up Beyonce’s ass to care.

Nobody can tell me to stop viewing the blogs I want to see. This is not a newspaper where the writer just reports news as they are. Even newspapers have columns where people share their opinions about various topics. You don’t have to agree but stop crying and insulting the blogger.

Just because people don’t always agree with Sam/Trent’s views they should stop coming to the site or commenting? That’s not what Sam or Trent say, at the end of their posts they ask “Your Thoughts”. They don’t write, “Your thoughts as long as they ONLY agree with ours otherwise go to some other site”. I have noticed quite a few digs at Rihanna myself, but overall I still like this website and am free to comment. That aside, from both Rihanna and Chris Brown’s more recent interviews it sounds as if both of them are moving on which I personally think is a good thing.
