R&B star Keri Hilson performed new German-only single ‘I Like’ at the ‘Pop Stars: You & I’ finale in Oberhausen, Germany last night. Kudos to Keri for continuing to up her profile outside of the States. About the performance itself, though, I quite enjoyed it. Although – for however much good was intended with the Michael & Janet ‘Scream’ part – it really should have never been included. All-in-all, a pretty good performance. Go Keri!

keri is so pretty…she looked much better than the so called fashonista’s… her song went to number one on german itunes so i hear…seems like they were feeling her more than other people i might add..i am glad she is staying on her grind and not relying on other things which dnt last…

I like the intention behind the scream thing (MJ!!!!! :)), but it wasn’t very well executed. A good performance nonetheless.
WTF…why would she even try to do that? That is strictly meant for either Mike or Janet. And, unfortunately, since Mike has passed, JANET is the only one who should ever perform that song!
And who the hell is that old ass man who was the lead male dancer? Was he a stand in or something, cuz that was just painful. I mean, he really tried, but he looked soooo old.

she looked kinda off 2 me something abt her face i dunno. i’d never heard this boring song before. keri needs 2 stop thinking she can dance coz whenever she does choreography she never ‘brings it’n also the scream thing was a big no-no she should never have done it.
GREAT PERFORMANCE…buuut that ScREAM moment was uncalled for…although i like the song as well, and she keeps and continues to up her performances making KERI a known name.

I think her male counterpart here is a professional choreographer or something, something of that nature. I don’t think he’s just one of her regular dancers. Anyhwoo, the Scream bit…to me, she should not have done it. Not because it’s only meant for “Michael and Janet”, hell if an artist can pay a tribute to the King and Queen of Pop by doing a 30 second performance of Scream, and KILL IT, then by all means let them.
Keri’s lazy ass down-syndrome choreography ruined it, though. B**** better not even try to f*** with Michael or Janet’s s*** if she can’t dance (which is clearly apparent in this video.)
What the hell was that at the end, no no no no no! Keri learn how to master your own boring ass songs before you try to do Micheal or Janet, WTF. Tribute or not when you do it, it has to be on point and sweety this was NOT!!! And why was her father dancing with her? Hot ass mess! She did better on the Soul Train Awards which really isn’t a compliment, but I’ll give her points for confidence, she has a lot of that.
Rihanna take notes…. you dont have to do much just show us that you enjoy what your doing dont walk around only.

Ok, the Keri stans may come after me, but I just have to keep it real. First of all, this performance screams “Get Me Bodied” with the pairing of the dancers; from beginning to end. Secondly, it seems as though Keri does not have the best people around her, to tell her when an idea will not work. The “Scream” bit at the end was deplorable, no ifs, ands, or buts. When you choose to perform a Michael or Janet tune, you better make sure to turn the stage out with the dancing. If that wasn’t the sorriest excuse of a tribute, I don’t know what is. Finally, it’s cool to support an artist that you love. However, don’t be blinded to the point where you can’t see your artist needs vast improvement. Keri’s dance moves seemed half-assed; almost no energy. If Keri is going to dance, then she really needs to take cues from Janet, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Ciara as far as how to effectively execute routines.
No, I’m not a Keri Hilson fan. While I recognize that she has amazing songwriting capabilities and is somewhat of a good vocalist, her live performances continue to disappoint me. On top of that, she lacks humility, and there is something about her spirit that does not sit well with me. She definitely “turned me off” with her little diss record, and I’ll never be able to look at her the same way. But hey, that’s just my opinion; you’re entitled to yours.
she needs to not touch anything Michael and Janet related….especially not Scream…luv you Keri, but leave that one alone; especially if you can’t, and believe me you can’t, do it justice

I agree that she can’t dance well enough to pull of a Michael/Janet Scream dedication and can barely get through all the other routines she attempts. Also, the setup reminded me of Get me Bodied also but not executed nearly as well as Beyonce. Also, I’m not sure that Keri really sang at all during this performance, it looks like a good lip synching job to me.
