Rihanna took to the stage on Cheryl Cole’s ITV1 special ‘Cheryl Cole’s Night In’ which aired tonight here in the UK. The Bajan model performed current single ‘Russian Roulette’.
Kudos where kudos are due, Ms. Fenty held her own pretty well tonight, so much so that I’d say it was hands-down her best performance of the song to-date. The billy-goat bleating was kept to a minimum and she wasn’t sitting in that damn chair.

Whoever is working with her needs a raise. This was actually a vast improvement indeed. Keep it up Rihanna. If she keeps the vocals up, keeps the nasalliness to a minimum and puts as much effort into her dancing and stage performances for her up beat songs I might acually get on board with her. I just couldn’t stand the half-assedness about her, now that she’s at least trying (or her label is pushing to do better) I think she could become ok, not there yet but she’s getting there.
I really liked this one. Glad she switched it up too.

She shouldn’t have waited 4 albums in, and until she started flopping, to give a damn about her craft though. It seems like she arrogantly rested on her promotion and songs given to her up until now she got a wake up call with the poor sales of rated r. It’s like she only cares when her money is threatened.
Whatever the reason, the effort at improvement is still welcome I guess.

Wow – one half decent performance, in how many years? Way to go RiRi, you really area a class act, a star performer. Its taken how many years to crank this half baked s*** out? Well done. Every other female performer out there are still miles ahead in terms of performances. Oh and i think Sam was being kind when he called her the Bajan model, cos with that forehead, there aint no chance of her being qualified to even sit there with her bits hanging out. Sorry, i know it sounds as though I’m being a right wanker, but u know what, I’m sick and tired of people going on like she’s a class act. This sure is the best perfomance of this song but.. Rihanna def has to go back to her vocal teacher(s) to fix that short voice…she sounds good at the beginning but after she has sang 3/4 of the song or hit the big notes her voice starts to finish early and u can hear her kinda choking at the end i know that she struggles with that, her breathing can be better and she can be a better singer. not hating what’so ever… just pointing out something Rih fanstans.

The song is top 5 or 10 in every country it was released in (except Netherlands #13). The album is already gold in the UK, headed toward Platinum. And this a massively different song for radio on both sides of the Atlantic with a hugely switched up sound for Rihanna.

That was a change but it was not good vocally, she works with what she got and that’s it. She still cant carry a tune or work a note for nothing. If this girl would try our for American Idol and no one would’ve heard of her she would have been sent home the first showing.
Rihanna does not have talent, she can not sing and I love how people except things from her like she really is doing something and when one with talent they dog.. She been doing this for how long and she still is not there and no one cares. The music industry has lost it’s appeal because of artist like her. 2/10
