Truth be told Mimi ain’t hurting for money in no way shape or form she made more money in career even now chick is rolling in dough despite the lack luster sales of memiors she still made money from writing and vocal production among other side deals Mimi makes royalites from. Who knows what may come out of these recent set back only time will tell but I wouldn’t bet against her because she has proven she can moves time and time again.
My girl Mariah has more than enough money – remember by 23 she had over $200 mill.

Unlike most artist out today, Mrs. Carey-Cannon writes a majority of her songs and has publishing income to the hilt. If she were to never record another album or launch another tour she’ll be alright. Just because the public doesn’t come out in force and catapult an album into the stratosphere doesn’t mean it’s not a good work. Patti LaBelle hasn’t sold anywhere near the numbers Mrs. Carey-Cannon has, but would anyone say that Ms. LaBelle is not talented? No. People need to begin to think for themselves and not let “the machine” influence them experiencing true art.

I just love Mimi, she looks cute on that picture, and about her recent album, I think it’s just bad luck, we all know that Mariah Carey is one of the greatest voice of our generation and she is pure talent, there is no argument on this, if talent was paying off the likes of Rihanna or Ke$ha would’nt even exist in this business, but it’s the other way around and it’s sad, but HEY there are still Mimi fans out there so I pray for her to rest a while and come back with an album.

can we just get a few things str8 here. Mariah is not on same label as rihanna. Mc is on island riri on defjam although they are part of same label group (island defjam records) now everyone’s understood that mc has left her label. If you look on island’s website it lists mc as one of their artists but when you click her name it takes you directly to her official website not a label minisite like other artists also her label was removed from her website.

The lady is fourty but looking flawless! She’ll be so much better without Def Jam, they just got lucky with the way they promoted Emancipation of Mimi cos they’ve been messing her up ever since.
I think Mariah looks very pretty in the picture… and her last album wasn’t a flop, its just hard to sell your music when you have limewire, and itunes and other m** sites to compete with. I love the fact that she is in love stop attacking her personal life people and her music career, how can you be a fan if you have something negative to say about her and her personal choices that she makes!! Aww Mariah…what happened to you??? This is just my opinion. Mariah needs to look at people like Janet and like Mary J. Blige and just watch how they are growning GRACEFULLY!!!! They are women of a certain age and they are ACCEPTING of their age. They are not trying to keep up with the 20 year old’s in the industry and acting like they are in denile of their age. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that any of thse women are old. What I am saying is that Janet and Mary are acting age approprate.
To me, it seems like Mariah was soooo much more mature when she first came out. And thats when I was a HUGE Mariah Carey fan. She was right up there with Janet for me!! (Janet was always and will always be #1 but at that time Mariah was definitley #2) Now I can’t even listen to a Mariah Carey album because she seems so lost mentally. The way she acts, the way she dresses ( 😯 just DISGUSTED by that), the lyrics she wites now… Once Mariah comes to terms with her age, and starts acting her age, and changes stylists, she will see success again. I gaurentee it. My gosh Mariah could be such a DIVA in a good way if she would just carry herslef differently.

Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel had a completely unpopulkar sound…It was a throwback/gift to the fans. It was exactly like butterfly, with NO featured rappers, and it’s her 1st album SINCE FANTASY to have 2 songs chart on Adult Contemporary Charts……..Obviously it’s a NON mainstream sound, but still really easy on the ears! 🙂
