Kelis’ ‘Flesh Tone’ Tanks

Published: Wednesday 14th Jul 2010 by Sam

Despite scoring a number one on the Billboard Dance Chart with ‘Acapella’, Kelis’ latest album ‘Flesh Tone’ has debuted on the Billboard 200 chart with one of the year’s worst opening tally’s. Find out just how much the former Mrs. Nas sold first week after the jump…

According to the ever-reliable Hits Daily Double, ‘Flesh Tone’ limps in at a lowly #46 on the US chart this week, after selling through just 7833 copies.

This marks the lowest sales of the eclectic singer’s career; a career which was never particularly characterised by high sales to begin with.

It’s all rather unfortunate for Ms. Rogers, as this the worst possible start she could have with her new label (, and put simply, the album isn’t actually that bad. What’s more, the often cited ‘no promotion’ excuse won’t suffice, as Kelis made major appearances on many a show, and worked the International circuit as well (to little success).

If this isn’t one of the biggest flops in recent history, I don’t know what is.

In any case, why do you think folk aren’t checking for Kelis or her album?

Your thoughts?

    & she deserve it !!!!!

  4. ImYourStar702 July 14, 2010

Tasty was her best album #thatisall

  5. mark ginnis July 14, 2010

She is not a great singer. Moreover,Bangladesh, the Producer of “Bossy” says he found her to be one of the worst he had to work with personality-wise. plus Dance music is not loved on Urban radio so she had to rely on pop support which in the US is not a slam dunk for black artist.usually you have to do well on” your own” stations first. of course you have things like B.oB and jason derulo so it is not hard and fast but …..

  6. LATE July 14, 2010

    Amerie flopped worse.
Fat Joe flopped even worse than Amerie
    So umm yeah…

Warning to Kelly Rowland – Dance doesn’t sell!

  7. #FACT July 14, 2010

Amerie sold 12k first week. If i’m doing my math right, 12>>>>7k

People gave Kelis the side-eye when she first came out with “I hate you so much right now” and they continue to give her the side-eye. Come next week billboard will have deleted her album from their charts. LOOOOOOOOOOL

  8. ADE July 14, 2010

    Only 7K?? LOL PISSED!

  9. RosaRubbel July 14, 2010

Oh S***.!’ Damn, I didn’t expect something like this. ‘Tasty’ is her best album to date & I have to admit I’m not into her latest project because I’m not a huge fan of dance music (the same goes for Ms. Rowland).

  10. Samira July 14, 2010

i guess ‘change’ or ‘different’ doesnt work for everyone!!

  11. Oh No! July 14, 2010

I hope this doesn’t happen to Kelly Rowland. Damn!

  12. B July 14, 2010

    that seriously sucks
because fleshtone is one of the best albums to come out this year thus far
literally every single track on that album is single-worthy
heres hoping she releases a few more singles
atleast “song for baby” and “home”
those would be huge hits in europe

  13. royalkev July 14, 2010

I honestly don’t know why anyone surprised. Everytime TGJ posted something about Kelis, those same 7 people rush in and call her Epic. When her songs suck! Her voice is fried and she sounds a mess! Image wise although she’s doesn’t shoot for the goal to be classic beauty, she is her most intriguing this era. Music wise, although it’s quite artistic – it just stinks. It’s funny that in a song named Acapella is where I realized Kelis has 0 voice, range and power! I see the wisdom behind Pharrell’s musical arrangement for her. If Kelis is not ranting and raving and chanting we have no use for her. She needed a Milkshake, Holla back girl (Gwen Stefani) or a London Bridges(Fergie) to win. If she doesn’t go there she’s a bore!

  14. Tha Phoenix July 14, 2010

@#Fact – ‘Come next week billboard will have deleted her album from their charts’

Kelis actuallly cannot sing to save ANYBODY’S life, let alone her own. That is all.

  15. Rashaan July 14, 2010

DAM! I was not relly feeling the dance vibe of her music…I don’t think she was ever the best singer her music has always been catchy and her look has always been on point….this album is a bit weird with her look and vibe…..I’m just sayin

  16. FreshUrbanEnt July 14, 2010

  17. Sebastian July 14, 2010

In my opinion one of the best albums of the year so far.

  18. Wack July 14, 2010

  19. Aloys July 14, 2010

    The album is amazing,
I hope it isn’t to late for it to do better.

  21. GangsterA July 14, 2010

That sucks this album is good

  22. DANNII July 14, 2010

first of all kelly rowland is not just doing dance. Her album is also going to have r’n’b influences. Erm that result does not suprise me cos the b**** can not sing! I saw her live once…left us waiting for HOURS and when she finally emerges she looked like a hot mess and she sounded like an animal in PAIN.

So if thats anything to go by then no one is going to want to hear that issh on cd – especially the americans.

Its a shame cos i like her but i think she should give it up. Maybe she can go into fashion.

  23. Paul Thomas July 14, 2010

Because she’s so f*** ing wierd now…. I mean, beyond how she used to be… It’s like she doesnt even try to be hot anymore…. I wasnt the “Kelis Was here” kelis back!

  24. Paul Thomas July 14, 2010

DANCE MUSIC SELLS!!!!! Keri Hilson – Knocks You Down! Hello!!!!!!

  25. The truth July 14, 2010

    @ freshurbannet,

she did not abandon her Black audience she did not have a Black audience to begin with, she was too wierd too out there, she was the first to work with the Neptunes ,before everyone jumped on the bandwagon, she was the one cutting all her hair, before being plagerizied by Rihanna, she was the first to scream on a track before Bey did it on Ring the Arlam, she was and is a true trendsetter in the game of RNB, but the Black audience tossed her aside because she was too wierd, you were too busy worshipping Beyonce and Rihanna, who have done nothing but recycle Tina Turner and Grace Jones, and thats why Urban music is dead, now its into be different, just look at the pop audience they have now Lady Gaga

  26. Lewis92 July 14, 2010

I’m so sad… this album is sooo fantastic. And her voice is very cool. Poor Kelis 🙁

  27. Trail July 14, 2010

1 word…KARMA. THats why it flopped. When u do dirt, u get dirt!!

  28. number1k9 July 14, 2010

She has always had Electronic/Dance influences on her album, but she should have created something more similar to her R&B-Electonica music she did with her 2003 album that I loved ‘Tasty.’

That album had some good songs on it, wasn’t good from start to finish but me and my friend always was talking about that album freshmen year of high school.

I think her main point of going wrong, was not capitalizing on the fact that she was singed to the producer’s label who has had the biggest buzz over the last year and a half with his own group ( I MEAN HELLO, why wasn’t there any tracks that had his signature sound on it, at least for the US release.

I mean if ANYTHING, I wish she would have worked with the Neptunes on a few tracks, but I guess there is bad blood there-sucks, they were a great team.

Who called “Knock You Down” or Keri Hilson, dance music… ummm no, that’s Hip Hop & R&B. When people are saying it doesn’t sell, they are talking about this House & Techno influenced Dance music, the kind Europeans love.

  29. Myl4n July 14, 2010

What the f***! This is NOT fair! Flesh Tone is the most amazing album I have ever bought! I don’t get it! Why do you guys want the crap of Justin Bieber high in the charts and not the amazing music of Kelis? I don’t understand it!

It’s also a shame that the tracks leaked before the release. :\

  30. CIARADABESS July 14, 2010

So sad, it was really good dance album. This is why I hate the industry and this is why i hate Justin Bieber and twilight.

  31. Last Boy on Earth July 14, 2010

I don’t like dance music and this album is fantastic, atleast her singles are having a big success here in Europe but this just shows the taste of Americans, everything that is “different” to them won’t get their attention (in this case a black woman making dance music) and her songs actually have a different beat every time and have meaningful lyrics, we can’t say that about Lady Gaga can we?

  32. RASHYB July 14, 2010

Im sure Kelis doesnt even care. This album has a European sound and Im sure she knew it wouldnt be a big hit in the states. Kelis is all about the music and not whats gonna sell, which is what makes her great and why I will continue to support her! Thank god for artists like this! Plus her album is TIGHT!

  33. pookie July 14, 2010

She can’t sing…and this dance music/R&B thing is really getting tired…
I like R&B and I like dance music but when neither are pushing boundaries and everything sounds the same, I’m not inspired to do anything..even more so when the singer’s voice is as thin as Kelis….Tasty was a good album though…so was the ones before…but the production worked better with her weak vocal skill

  34. THAT PUM PUM JUICE July 14, 2010

The REAL REASON why this album failed is b/c it was already released a full month before in the UK. This gave everyone time to download for free all over the world. Who would buy an album when they already heard it and have it for free from all these ‘wonderful’ file sharing websites?

I know understand why artist have a problem with DL illegally.

Same goes for Bionic. Christina’s album would have done a lot better if it was not leaked two weeks before its release date. Come on now… no one mentions that when it comes to her poor album sales. Bionic is a 9 out of 10 album….Grammy award deserving! Her team really should have pushed up the release date from June 8th. She also should have released a more interesting single, like ‘Bionic’, instead of the same ole RnB/POP song ‘Not Myself Tonight’. Bionic as a single would have showed her growth as an artist rather than her doing the same ole thing everyone else is out there….

Like I said why would someone buy something they already have…hard core fan or not? KELIS you rock…your are the ORIGINAL LADY GAGA!!!

    I’m just saying…

  35. X,Y,”and Z” July 14, 2010

    ….Bwayahahahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahah ,,,,

    ,,,Bahahahahhahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahhahh… I LOVE IT!

Pass me the popcorn and raisinets, I’ll be here watching this s*** for some time …!!!

I wonder what Nas is saying/thinking, right ’bout now ..??

    X,Y,”and Z” — OUT …!!!

  36. G. July 14, 2010

Sales don’t mean anything. It s all about the music not about a popular chart position.

  37. stan July 14, 2010

well duh, she has no hit single. what do you expect?

  38. Jace July 14, 2010

Note to Kelly Rowland…Don’t make a sole Dance/Pop album..It just won’t work in the US.

  39. Jamie July 14, 2010

Hopefully it will pick up more, however i do feel its because the US audience dont get this music. It’s there fault no hers as its a really good album.

  40. DizzyGuy1985 July 14, 2010

Her album was never going to do good in the U.S. I already knew that. Just like Kelly Rowlands album will tank in the U.S and do well in the U.K. People don’t like that dance s***. JLS will tank in the U.S as well. We don’t vibe on that s*** here.

  41. MIrcea July 14, 2010

There were no hopes to make it big in the States to begin with. So why start rumours and make news out of smth like this? It was crystal clear that the States won’t embrace dance music….

  42. kris July 14, 2010

I honestly forgot that her cd was coming out.

  43. Roab July 14, 2010

I’m one of the few fools that actually thought this album was going to be a summer blazer. So whatever! It’s good material. I’m still a fan and I’m going to see her in concert in a few weeks. So chuck all the haters! Rick James betches! Kelis is still the ish!

  44. PLAIN AND SIMPLE July 14, 2010

    WOW that’s something

  45. elvis July 14, 2010

i have to agree with you! Tasty is one of her best albums. But my favorite is Kelis was Here. I feel the R&B in that album! Even tho people said its not. I rather R&B more than anything. I only actually like R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap, Soul & Jazz.
I hope the same thing happens to Kelly Rowland!
I ain’t dissin her, Im a huge fan!
But i PRAYED & PRYED for kelis & kelly to come back doing R&B albums! Maybe Kelis will go back R&B now that she knows her dance albums wont sell.
Again, i hope this happens to kelly, so we “R&B HARDCORE” fans can get them both back!

  46. elvis July 14, 2010

No one baught the album, probably because the entire album was on limewire & youtube weeks before it came out, everyone already has the music. but im a cd fan, i buy cds only. I have her album on the way from Amazon. I refuse to buy this at a store cause the money will go to her, & im not supportin this s***** ass music. even tho i have the album, but thats just to go with my other kelis cds.

  47. OnMyHaterAde July 14, 2010

I previewed the album on Itunes and i wasn’t feeling it. I really think its that simple. While artistically the album may be “all that” but entertainment wise it is “dead on arrival” just like her sales.

    Just saying.

  48. lindani July 14, 2010

    How humiliating!!!

  49. number1k9 July 14, 2010

“I refuse to buy this at a store cause the money will go to her, & im not supportin this s***** ass music. even tho i have the album, but thats just to go with my other kelis cds.”

    W T F !

Some of the money no matter where you buy the CD will end up going to the ARTIST!

    * rolling over the floor, callin my friend, while poppin champagne*

  53. I {heart} music! July 14, 2010

She sold more than Rick Ross did and ppl still find him relevant. Amerie sold more than she did and she’s not talked about much neither. I mean the industry sucks. She does a lot of shows so hopefully she can support herself off of that. Im not a Kelis fan, but having a career is important especially because she has a baby now and wants more as she has said recently. I hope Nas doesnt have to dish out more money though…he’s been on his grind and deserves to celebrate his earnings. And he has 2 children he supports.

I hear she’s a great cook and went to school for it, so maybe she can open up a restaurant or smthg and just do music cuz she loves it. Thats what its about at the end of the day anyways.

  54. marquies July 14, 2010

wow shes at 46 with just 7k, that just shows how bad of shape the music industry is in right now, i remember in 2004 19,000 in sales got you to like #50 on the charts…smh

  55. Ghetto Fab July 14, 2010

Not even 8000 copies?!?!??! LMAO Chile Please!!! You all have nerve bringing Kelly into this.

KELLY ROWLAND WOULD NEVA!!!!! She even outsold this s*** in her previous albums.

  56. Tyler July 14, 2010

It’s her own fault. she’s not convincing as a dance artist. Period. doesn’t matter if the songs are “decent” within that context, she can’t sell them.

  57. ~TeAM WeeZY~ July 14, 2010

    @ Last Boy on Earth

Why do you always bring “Americans’ taste of music” into EVERYTHING? I guess the countries in Europe have so much better taste? Multiple #1’s for JLS in the U.K., yeah that sure is great taste, huh?

  58. X,Y,”and Z” July 14, 2010

    … Swiiiinnnng and-a-miss ..!!

On-deck and-up-next to-the-plate: ‘Eve’, ‘Lil Kim’, ‘Jay Lo’ and TGJ’s favorite-daughter: Kelly Rowland! And what does ALL OF THESE NO/LOW-talent b****** have in common? … “Little-or-No-talent,” that’s what!

So now, this-is-how “it’ll play-out” : Eve/Kelis will continue to blame black men and further court the “angry white male!” ‘Lil Kim will be, attacked and killed, by her pet/guard dog Pit bull-Terrier: he didn’t recognize her after her 8th Nip/Tuck; Jay-Lo, will have “moderate success” — Latinos don’t know any better; and Kelly Rowland?!

… Well-now, Kelly Rowland, figurative daughter of/to;bride of ;sister to Sam/Trent of That Grape Juice?! Well, Kelly will continue to court rich European men and have them “throw good money after bad!” But eventually, they’ll realize what most-of-us have: she’s nothing more than, and-will-EVER-BE, Beyonce’s “X-back-up singer” …!! She might have fooled Sam/Trent but for the rest of us? “… Game KNOWS game …!!”

    X,Y,”and Z” — OUT …!!!!

  59. Kyle July 14, 2010

What were you guys really expecting her to even sell in the first place? I don’t really think Kelis and her label had high expectations for this album in terms of sales. It’s so hard to market dance music and even more importantly to cross over into the mainstream with dance tracks like Kelis has on “Flesh Tone.” I tried to pick out songs on her album that I could see being top 40 pop hits and there is NONE. At the end of the day, I think it’s important to commend Kelis on taking her music in this direction and taking the risk to shy away from her more contemporary R&B sound. Kelis will always stand out to me as a unique artist and “Flesh Tone” is good proof of that. I love this album!!

  60. X,Y,”and Z” July 14, 2010

… And now I ask you, what happened to the ALMIGHTY GAY COMMUNITY? I thought any artist who was endorsed by the likes of Perez Hilton would find “Instant Platinum success?” And it WAS Kelis, who was recent-seen, being interviewed by Perez Hilton and- who-there-was-given his “seal of approval!” … What happened?
Apparently, “the gays” aren’t as “all powerful” as we’d have thought they were! Obviously, “the marketplace” recognizes talent, or lack thereof, and will NOT reward gimmickry, flashing lights or contrived-hype, that came-about, from the Word Processors of Publicists!

Now, all that needs to happen(?): Kelis to be pictured; nose-to-glass; rolled-dollar in hand, Cocaine-residue on nostril; her-then to-be-deemed — “an unfit parent” and for Nas to get full-custody of HIS child!

This no-talent b****, will-THEN-find, some angry-white man and “read sentence and verse” Alice Walker; they’ll, for-a-time-being, have SOME “common ground.” But even then, shortly-there-after, time will reveal Kelis, to be nothing-more-than a “Coke-w****” who thought, in her deranged-mind, her talent …”worthy”, but who got fool/blinded by her ambition!

    X,Y,”and Z” — OUT ..!!

  61. Jasmine July 14, 2010

X,Y,”and Z I don’t think Perez has any influence over gay people spending money on music. Her music this time around did not appeal to people in general. How can you make an album of “dance” themed music and expect it to do well on the charts if you do not already have a strong dance following? She only has one platinum album, Tasty. The rest of her albums did not go platinum, and this is when the music industry was more lucrative.

  62. Ruby July 14, 2010

what a shame the album is great

  63. south beach hearts lbj July 14, 2010

not feeling her whole vibe this time around. not a big fan of her voice in general. she seems really full of false confidence.

  64. sad but true! July 14, 2010

Kelis album FLOPPED just as hard on the UK CHARTS….she debuted at #46 in the UK as well and flopped in other places also. It is not just the US…and TASTY only went gold in the US! Kelis has no TALENT at all…different but no substance!

  65. Darren July 14, 2010

Good. Let it “tank” as much as possible. I’m glad no one in the US even knows who Kelis is. I dont want people getting all obsessed over my girl like all these crazy people on here. It’s still the best album of my lifetime so far.

  66. Darren July 14, 2010

In all seriousness it probably hasn’t sold much because it came out in the UK over a month ago and everyone here had to get a bootleg.

  67. ThaBeyonceStan July 14, 2010

    oh lord!

  68. bam bam July 14, 2010

I’m not to surprised but with all the promo i thought she would do a little better than 7k. i mean look at her album cover she looks like a straight r***** an the chicks divorce didn’t really put her in a positive light either cause shes considered a gold digger an not an artist ! an not to mention her voice sucks its annoying i never like kelis as an artist i always thought she was below average! an when i heard the songs from her album i almost through up in my mouth cause they were so horrible!! well kelis look on the bright side at least u have 7k fans that are willing to listen you screech on a record like a cat getting choked to death!!! the end

  69. ULISES July 14, 2010

I think it was the fact that it was released way later here in the US compared to the rest of the world. By that time, I already had gotten my copy. It’s definitely a great CD, and she’s still undoubtfully got my support! The great thing of it all is that she really doesn’t care too much about the numbers. That’s always good! Keep up the good work Kelis! You’re AWESOME!!!

“Jungle”- s***, tribal, exotic summer anthem. Don’t click on the link! You’re not ready for it, or are u?

  70. seriously? July 14, 2010

  73. ChocolateRowland July 14, 2010

Talent ain’t enough in 2010! Men need to want to f*** you and women need to want to be you. Kelis and Christina don’t have that aura. I hope Kelly doesn’t fall under the same fate. I agree with @x, y “and x”, in that nobody wants to be a fan of Beyonce’s little sister when they can have Beyonce. Kelly needs to step out of this shadow. Talent alone won’t do it.

Unless you are Michael Jackson, Madonna, GaGa, Whitney, Eminem, Beyonce or Britney, your hard core fans can’t take you to the top. You need to know how to cross over the casual fan. Evidently, only Kelis’s hardcore fans brought the album.

Does Kelly has what it takes to cross over the casual fan? According to her Twitter, Facebook, and fan sites, Kelly does not have a huge following.

  74. Kevin July 14, 2010

How embarrassing. She should pack up and move to Antartica and hide for awhile.

  75. S*** July 14, 2010

She looks A MESS 1st of all & her Material Sucks= FLOP.

  76. Jamie July 14, 2010

Ya’ll need to leave Kelly Rowland out of this discussion because Kelly has nothing to worry about. TRUST! Ya’ll may want her album to tank, but it won’t sorry!!! Remember this day. Kelly’s label has serviced two wonderful singles to US radio–Grown Woman and Rose Colored Glasses, and since ya’ll are so focused on Kelly and “Hope the same doesn’t happen to her,” go buy the singles and album. **Rolls Eyes**

  77. UmYa July 14, 2010

    omg gurl no lololol.
Anyway she’s never been the ~big seller~ type and the album is good. She took a risk and made a complete far left album that the mainstream pop market didn’t embrace.
She still got that $$$ from Nas though LOL.

  78. los July 15, 2010

I love how all the haters are wishing for Kelly Rowland to flop but guess what she wont Kelly and her new team are going to make sure this album sell and please dont compare her to Kelis because Kelly Rowland can blow all these female singers heads off.

I cant wait for Kelly Rowland album to come out because all of you will shut up and get ready for her single Grown Woman to hit #1 on the charts in the US because it is already lighting up urban radio like crazy.

  79. Girlbye July 15, 2010

  82. Jay Jay July 15, 2010

Her material was good but there were no “radio-ready” songs and that album cover is ugly and not appealing… if I were in a record store I would’ve probably walked right pass it.

Ok F*ck the album being out a month b 4. It flopped in Europe it came in # 40 something then fell 2 # 90 something. The fact of the matter is it’s a wrap. @ X, Y, Z How can a person make a dance album who cannot dance. Bye D*** avartar, we see u as the loser you r. Without Nas u r just a bi-sexual no-talent having ho from Harlem with a dirty bathroom and wrinkles.

I’m not surprised…..Flesh Tone Is So hot but the Urban community isn’t into dance and the Pop community isn’t into black artist. Kelis is under rated on this album, I think she has reached a new level in creativity for black artists…..this album is simply before it’s time…but I will say that it will be a hit in the Gay Black Community….she has sick ball tracks the the girls will live for, get into it!

This album flopped everywhere and this has nothing to do with her being black or a gold digger! People are trying to make up every excuse in the world but like Mallory said “How are you gone to make a dance album and can’t dance?” Kelis is so fake and her attitude is UGLY and her talent is mediocre at best.

first of all….black ppl love dance music…….its ust u closed minded fools that dont like her….her voice can be balnd at times but fleshtones is a great album…….why does she have to appeal to the “black market” just because shes black….thats very stupid……white ppl sing rnb……black ppl can sing rock…….kelis sold alot of albums over in england so im sure shell do well anyway

I’d rather listen to Rihanna yodeling a$$ than listen to this gold-digging b.i.t.c.h.

I am a die hard Kelis fan, I love Acapella…but the rest of the songs are OK. Although her album flopped it is criticallys acclaimed (by the top critics that is and not just your random blogger).

Aside from that high and mighty “I’MA F*** OVA NAS” business. The album as pretty weak. I didn’t care for a single song on it. I’m not really a fan but I’ve always given her albums a listen because she’s talented and completely underrated. But this FLESH TONES s*** was garbage. HATED IT!!!!!

Don’t blame it on the US not knowing good music blah blah…the album TANKED WORLDWIDE…including Europe which is supposed to be where she has her largest base of fans. The album is not good and definitely does not appeal to her prior fanbase. On top of that her attitude and inflated sense of importance and entitlement is annoying and has probably turned off a whole lot of people. It definitely had that affect on me. This album didn’t just flop, I mean it FLOPPED. This is the worst first week in the US of any of her albums and she wasn’t even a big seller before. I mean less than 10k? Scratch that LESS THAN 8k? Seriously, just hang it up and live off of that alimony you fought so hard for. Shame when you have a more profitable divorce settlement than career, and I think she is loosing it…Nas you got out right on time man, in due time you will realize you are better of rofl.

Her sales are low because the album just isn’t good. There are a few songs worth downloading but nothing is breathtakingly amazing. Her past albums often had a few gems between other good material. This album has a few good songs between lots of uninteresting stuff. She brings a lot of talent to the table, but she’s the kind of artist that needs inventive collaborators to help her fully sketch out her songs and keep things from getting stale. It’s why fo much of her best material was when she was working with The Neptunes, who stopped her compositions from being overly generic the way they are on Flesh Tones. Too often songs with lots of potential get worn out after only a handful of listens because of the banality in her drum beats or synth melodies. Another problem is that she lacks a lot of the personality quirks that have been shown on her other albums. She’s showing a different side of herself, and that’s okay, but with so much of what makes her endearing lacking here she fails to come across as someone you’d want to hang out with and willingly talk with for hours. Her other albums make you want to hang out with her and conquer the world.

China will move on with the trial of using yuan in overseas trade settlement and relax the cross-border financing restrictions to shore up the support from forex management to the economy, said Deng Xianhong, deputy head of the State Foreign Exchange Administration. He didn’t elaborate on the yuan settlement trial.
