Are people seriously complaining about the quantity being 11? Yall haven’t even heard the rest of the project and are already being pressed coz of the number of songs. I personally prefer shorter albums so that I can listen to the songs thoroughly and be familiar with the whole album quickly. I don’t know if i’ll buy it though coz the only album i didn’t buy was A Girl Like Me [still no regrets there]. I think her album will flop. I agree with many of you who claim that she’ll sell 100-200 k. Though it’s not a bad number, an artist who has so many top ten hits on the charts should do between 250-300 k. Like Katy Perry, Rihanna is a SINGLE ARTIST… and a lucky one…. Who has so much sucess by walking up and down on her videos? Hahahaha

“Only Girl” should have never been a single, but whatever. Should be at least 12 tracks, but I’ll sample it. I hate it when people try to copy a Thriller-hype type album. Thats never gonna be redone in music history again, PERIOD!

As for “Who’s That Chick”, that song will be a bonus track because Rihanna said it’s too safe for Loud.

Hot damn, honey you really need to learn about the music business and about the expectations of certain music artists. Rihanna’s “Rated R” album did reach platinum and went on to sell a total of 2.8 million copies worldwide, but that’s bad compared to her previous album sales. Her “GGGB” album sold over 6 million copies! Rihanna is supposed to be this top ten and number 1 Queen who’s “hot,” trendy, and persistent, but has album sales that decline by more than 50% from her last album. How embarrassing? She’s supposed to be evolving and gaining more exposure and fans so therefore, each album after the other should increase or at least sell the same amount.
The song titles on this album sound wack but of course you can’t judge how bad or good a song is by just the title. I do believe this will be her worst selling album to date. “Rated R” didn’t do too well but she’s lucky she even sold that many and the only reason why she was able to sell 500,000 units more than she should’ve is because of that whole personal incident that she got pity sales for! Now that she doesn’t have any more publicity stunts such as Rumors about her sleeping with Jay-Z, her cutting her hair and changing her transforming into this “fashionista,” her using a personal incident on 20/20 interview for publicity… people aren’t going to be as hyped to buy her album. The red hair isn’t gonna cut it cuz although it’s striking (but ugly) we’ve seen it on the Wendy’s Girl, Ronald McDonald, and other circus clowns.

I don’t know where Sam got this tracklsting cause it’s nowhere near true nor confirmed (It’s not even on her website and Rihannadaily.com). It bothers me how people can complain about the quantity of songs while they have only listened to two songs on the album, it sounds stupid since there has been a host of big artists who’ve released tracks of the same weight. This album is commercial – mainstream and it posseses of all the sounds that are on heavy rotation, the music that appeals to the masses. Which makes it hard for me to understand how someone can boldly conclude that this album is gonna flop since ‘Rated R’ didn’t perform well as expected. Previous album sales don’t determain your fate, artists can pick up & keep up again compare Beyonce’s ‘B-Day’ to ‘I am…Sasha fierce’. Haters should take a break and anticipate 1st week sales of which I PERSONALLY PREDICT will be between 190k – 230k…

It cost money to make albums; and since most people don’t buy music anymore, what is the incentive to make an 18 song album. officially, i think 7-8 songs constitutes and lp (or long playing format). So 11 songs is hardly an ep. educate yourself b4 you speak or risk sounding like an idiot.
