Mariah Carey visited the Home Shopping Network this morning to provide an exclusive preview of her new album, ‘Merry Christmas II You’. The 5 octave songbird debuted several tracks from the record including some of the new material she wrote for the project. Check out the footage below:

Carey just took it to church and washed us in the creek. Vocally she is on a completely different level from anything that she (or any other singer) has done it years and the arrangements of the tracks are incredible. Regardless of sales, the project seems to be a magnificent piece of work.

mariah’s vocals sound like a studio creation to me, when she sings live (the rare times) she sounds much huskier and her tone is much deeper and lower. But on her recent albums, she sounds so high pitched like a chipmunk, even compared to her debut album. I have no doubt that she does some tricks to make her voice sounds younger, higher and more impressive that it currently is. That’s why she lipsynchs.

Whitney in her prime up to 2000 could not b matched vocally by anyone. Celine lipsings but not as much as Mariah, and Celine does rely on studio editing. If Mariah can fake the album cover with heavy editing, than she is prone to fake her vocals which I can tell she has done with just the tiny snippets.
The high notes in “oh Santa” are too chipmunk sounding to be real. What Mariah did is used a some of her 90s vocals and mixed them in with her current vocals and edit them to platinum 2010. You ppl are so gullable
