Given her glaringly limited vocal ability, that was an acceptable performance. Rihanna worked the stage and did the song justice in better fashion that her American Music Awards performance. It took her 5 years of trying but she finally kept my hand away from the remote with its desperate urge to change the channel.

However in this case Rihanna gave one of her best performances I have ever seen, and I loved the remix breakdown at the end.

She did ok, not a killer like the AMA, but it was nice. The choreography she is adding really makes the song pop.

Rihanna slayed no question! ‘What’s My Name’ doesn’t require Aretha runs, but it does require charisma and a solid vocal which is what she delivered in spades. For me this is exactly who Rihanna is and should continue to be as a performer…, this was playful and mad s*** without being robotic and cold, her voice was skilled and reliable, she looked fresh and moved fluidly, had charisma and actually looked like she was having fun with the audience. I respect Beyonce as a performer but it shouldn’t always look like such hard work up there, with her after a while it all becomes a bit cold. Don’t get me wrong Beyonce is still the modern ‘Queen of Performance Ltd’ lol but as an artist Beyonce has to work 10 times as hard to have half the organic buzz Rihanna has, no shade just a noticed fact. Rihanna had an ‘I’m the same as you’ energy here and from start to finish she was mesmerizing to watch. Rihanna should not be even mentioned in the same sentence as Beyonce. I guess she lied when she said that Beyonce was her inspiration if she was she would be slaying these performances. Only her crazy stans thinks that she slayed in that performance, and she is as good as Beyonce. It was okay at best, but she did not slay anything. To slay a performance your vocal should be always in tune, and you should never look uncomfortable and stiff on the stage. Also, with all the #1’s Rihanna has why did her last album sell less than 3 million WW? You stans always hyping this chick up; first it was the album she released last year…oh she’s going to slay, and you saw how that went. Then it was the book…whatever happened to that so call book that was going to bring in big sales. It’s not on top of anyone’s list. Then it is the 200 million dollar movie which when was the last time she was on set, she has been promoting her album non-stop, it takes months to film big budget movies, and long days, so when is she going to start filming. Then it was the new album, oh she is going to sell 500,000 in the US alone, then Taylor swift released her album and sold a million, then it was Rihanna is going to sell a million in one week, and she only sold 200,000, and by the third week she is at 77,000. Her stans bragging about she went platinum in the UK in three weeks isn’t platinum in the UK just 200,000? I thought she was really huge in the UK. Please, you guys give this chick to much credit, and if you think she slayed this performance you are crazy, and you have low standards.
