Billboard debuted a new song from Keri Hilson today. ‘Toy Soldier’ will appear on her new album, ‘No Boys Allowed’, on December 21st. Give it a listen below:
This is a beautiful song. The beat-driven production and the piano melody had a very ‘grand’ appeal similar to the compositions found on – dare I say it – Beyonce’s ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’. Hilson’s voice even sounded great on the track.
It seems that Hilson is preparing for a chart battle. Most of her material has been solid and her promotion is definitely being well planned and executed. Let’s see if the numbers will reflect all of her hard work.

YAAAAAAAAASSSSS. See this is why i STAN for Keri Hilson and Beyonce. They are the ONLY 2 Urban/Pop Black chicks that i listen to and sometimes rihanna. BUT keri and beyonce are my favs. This was beautiful and she is doing new things wither her voice. Hence the mini runs. I love love love the chorus.

Lol… This song is too “pop” for my tastes and generic. That’s about the only thing that is similar about it being like a Beyoncé song b/c her material is generic as well.. IE anyone could sing it.
She hit #4 on the charts selling 94k first week with her last album, I think she will do waaaayyy better with this album. He promotion is 100% better.
