I was expecting a much BIGGER, BRIGHTER ALBUM! I loveeee the FAME and FAME MONSTER! I think she is a great performer, singer, and I love her but something is off this era and it’s not connecting, although we run out and buy the songs out of anticipation and in return it’s a #1 itunes hit! But shortly after it does drop to be honest and then after a few listens you get either bored with it or you end up hating it.

I’m definitely a fan but I definitely do not like the song
I’m a GaGa stan and this song didn’t get me until her vocals towards the end. Remember this is technically her first album that’s not a concept album. This is the real GaGa we are getting here. So of course sonically it will be totally different from her previous work. This album will have to grow on people and it will be praised for it’s individuality in a sea of songs about s** and booty shaking. If for anything else give this girl her respect for bringing different elements to pop. The work I’ve heard from her lately has been metal, singer-songwriter, techno, etc. This girl is not going no where because she has more in her then what you believe you see already.
Okay. It pains me to say this, but I’m going to say it anyway.
Lady Gaga this track has plenty of potential, the backing music is amazing, and the concept is pretty easy for people to catch on to, however, the verses and chorus feel rushed, and because they feel rushed. I feel the quality has been overlooked for this song, and also for “Judas”, and “Born This Way”. It just feels rushed the whole project seems to favor quantitative measures, and puts quality second best.
I can definitely see where its difficult for her to bring new material to the forefront, as EVERY ARTISTIC INSPIRATION that she has done from her first effort has been picked up by other artists, and blatantly retreaded beyond belief from artists such as Britney, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Kanyé West, Jessie J, Nicole Scherzinger, Christina Aguilera, Etc HOWEVER I will say this, when you are an artist of epic proportions, and your talent is on an equal playing field as such artists as Elton John, David Bowie, Grace Jones, Freddy Mercury, Michael Jackson, ETC you have to be SURE that the product you put forth is coming from a genuine, quality ensured, place in your heart.
Will she outshine her counterparts in the music industry? I’m sure of it, there is absolutely NO competition as to who is the most talented all the way around musically in comparison to her counterparts, however I have to say that I am patiently awaiting the release of the album to figure out how many parts gimmick, and how many parts raw Gaga talent were put into this album, I’m crossing my fingers for her, but these singles are not exactly evidence of the latter, just of the former.

Here’s my two cents…
I think the song is great. Very catchy, great melody, and good production that harks back to the 80s rock and synthpop. The best part to me is the bridge with the piano and the 80s drum. This is what she meant by big rock melodies. Love it. Better than Judas and BTW. Not better than The Edge of Glory although less boring and slow. It took me a few listens to like it but I enjoy it now.

Being that I am not a fan, I don’t really anticipate her music, but this really is just boring.I couldn’t even listen to the whole song. It kinda sounds just like the other song she released. It has a 80’s vibe to it, it doesn’t really sound like anything that’s on the radio right now but at the same time it doesn’t sound ‘new’. It sounds to generic, the beat it annoying and it drowns her out. I can’t even really understand what she is saying, they don’t even sound like words just jibberish.
I used to be fan when she first came out cause she was something new and fresh, but now she truly exhausts me. This album seems rushed like she was trying so hard to be ‘different’ and she is just making lack luster music. *sigh*
I’m really beginning to wonder if she is going to be able to live up to all the hype and stay in the game that long. I know she is prolly gonna sell well cause she has millions of lil monsters that eat up any of the s*** she puts out, but I think the hype is quickly dying down….for me anyways.

You seem to forger that Gaga isn’t the first female artist with an eccentric sense of style. I’d say she has far more I’m common with the likes of Lil Kim, whom she is constantly compared to and accused of ripping off. I’ve never heard anyone accuse her of copying Gaga.
Katy Perry’s ET is about aliens, and let’s remember there was a movie of the same name released three decades ago. Plus Gaga has never done a concept about aliens, so that’s kind of reaching.
Jessie J is more reminiscent of Pink, and nothing of her reminds me of Gaga.
And as for the monster thing, uh, David Bowie’s Scary Monsters and Super Creeps anyone? It came out six years before Gaga was even born. Kanye is also inspired by classic rock artists, who’s to say that it was Gaga he got the idea from? He’s always been avant-garde with his ideas and inspirations from the get-go.
Christina’s been working on Bionic since 2007. Poor timing and choice of a lead single are why she was perceived to be ripping off Gaga when she really wasn’t. But artists like Goldfrapp, Ladytron, Peaches, Le Tigre, etc are what inspired the concept of the album, not Gaga.
I do agree that Gaga is more talented than most of her pop counterparts combined, but that doesn’t mean that all of them are ripping Ger off.
Now for what i came here for, my opinion on Hurr. I generally like the song better than EoG because that song is so repetitive & useless, but it’s not her best. Sounds like anyone could have sung it.

Like others have stated, this song has potential but instead it just falls flat. It would’ve worked brilliantly as a rock song, Gaga needs to realize that a Techno beat isn’t suitable for EVERY song. It’s like putting the exact same seasoning on every type of food, it works for some dishes, but not for others.
