Jason Derulo Performs On T4 On The Beach

Published: Sunday 10th Jul 2011 by Sam

It appears that despite regularly serving up shockingly bad performances, there really is no stopping Jason Derulo. The Pop sensation has seen his latest effort ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ top charts in many a country – including right in the UK.

Hence, in further plugging the track (the first to be lifted from his ‘Future History’ LP) on this side of the pond, the 21 year old (…) took centre stage at T4 On The Beach a few moments ago.

Check out how he fared after the jump…

It seems Mr Derulo finally got the memo that no one wants to hear him sing like he’s needs an inhaler, just to prove a point about singing live. As an act that seems adamant on serving up dips, twirls, and all that colourful jazz, it appears he’s finally taking note from “entertainers” such as the Janet’s, J.Lo’s, and MJ’s, who often would use backing tracks to afford them the ability to go all-out with the dancing. Needless to say, this wholly lip-synced performance is the best we’ve heard him sound live yet!

Every time I see Jason Derulo, I always think of nasty, nasty things. My goodness, he is s*** as hell and he has a down to earth personality which makes him even hotter. But seriously, I think he lacks stage performance and his voice on stage doesn’t do it for me but HE CAN DANCE

And yeah, I LOVE ALL HIS SONGS

“Don’t wanna go home” is my jam.

I think Jason is underrated as a performer and compared to people like Chris Brown too much. Whilst he may not be Chris, he is talented and can write. sing and dance (although he hasn’t managed to find a balance doing the two together yet) and he deserves some credit for what he does.

    SHOCKINLY BAD PERFORANCES ???????????????

    Are u on crack?
    He’s performances are very solid.
That’s what happens when u stan for pre-recording frauds like Beyonce & Chris Brown.
U forget what a LIVE performances is supposed to sound & look like.

    GREAT JOB JASON!

    And NO!

I prefer the live performance… FLAWS & ALL (to quote ur fav)

  6. TALENT + SOUL = ADELE – BEYONCE & JILL!!! July 10, 2011

I THINK HE DID EXTREMELY WELL!!!!!!! @SAM – PLEASE “GET A LIFE”

HE IS A SOLID PERFORMER AS @RIHANNA-NAVY SAID & HE IS VERY TALENTED!!!

AT LEAST HE KNOWS HOW TO WORK A STAGE, WHICH IS ALL I ASK FOR WHEN WATCHING “POP” PERFORMERS PERFROM!!!

BUT “ADELE, BEYONCE & JILL” ARE ON ANOTHER LEVEL – MUSICALLY AND VOCALLY!!!!!!!

He should stick to this regiment until those live vocals can keep up with the energy of his songs. He’s not bad acoustically but I do agree that songs like these from him should have pre-recorded vocals.

    Not bad.

If you put the video on mute and watch him dance its not that bad lol. I still think the song is god awful BUT I will admit he has stepped up his choreography. Im not sure yet how I feel about him. I don’t hate him but I’m not a craze fan either. So far the only songs I like from him is In My Head and Riding Solo

JD u ROCK DUDE KEEP IT UP~!!!!!

  13. LOL July 10, 2011

yaasssss jason kill that choreo !!! I love it this performance wasnt lip synched it just had the backing track used every now and again for sound effect but he still damn near slayed

  14. Vegas girl July 10, 2011

That was his best vocal performance while dancing that I’ve seen and yes I’m fully aware that he did lip synch the entire thing. Sometimes I feel though that if younger going to dance that hard you should absolutely lip synch, rather hear that then pitchy, shaky vocals that sound all out of breath.

I just absolutely hate his music ( the singles he releases). Has he released one single ever that is not a fully sampled track of another artist? How can anyone judge how talented he is when he just selects a song that was already popular at one time and writes some “lyrics” over the track. Even the chorus was borrowed for this song! His music is so throwaway and disposable!

I know most artists do sample but it seems like every song he’s had that has been released is a sampled track. He is a great dancer though, he needs to connect with the audience a little more though. He has the tools to be fantastic but…

  20. finallyes July 10, 2011

I give him props. He’s miles better than his 1st go round..the dancing, vocals, stage presence, look, etc.. are better this time. Very good performance..I hope he’s not serious about taking a break from music after album 2 because I think he can have staying power and be that pop/dance/rnb-light dude. At least he’s not trying to be thuggish and rapping on mix tapes of nobodies and trying to act like he’s so hard..haha…stay true Jason..

LOL, CRACK head bye! This coming from a RiHOG stan…LOL! The joke writes itself! 🙂

  23. mobwife…….guilty casey July 10, 2011

    OMG,

Wait, am I actually reading a comment from a person who constantly crticizes Chris Brown’s use of a backtrack (eventhough that person knows damn well he ALWAYS puts on a high impact, high enegery performance), now say its okay to use one because its Jason DUH HELL NO doing the bunny hop? Nah, I must have misread that comment! O__0

  24. nice_gurl July 11, 2011

Well, i’d prefer to hear a backing track than him breathless. The dancing’s good, but the song is plain boring. I think he should practice singing and dancing, then I might consider him to be a great performer.

  25. zoe oakley July 13, 2011

i think that he was grate……. also i thnk that people have fellings i would like to see yoou all get up on a stage infront of that many people 🙂 xx
