“Party” got cancelled as a single after Beyonce’s VMA performance because “Love On Top’s” reception was much better than “Party’s”. But then “Love On Top” got cancelled as a single in the US after it flopped in its second week on the Billboard Hot 100. It was released as the third single in Australia and New Zealand because it performed well on iTunes in both those countries. That’s why she’s releasing the video soon! And “Countdown” is the third single in the US & UK.
@ASAP Love on top and 1+1 were never singles they charted because she performed them. She does her videos regardless. Have you ever heard Beyonce not doing a lot of visuals? She has officially 3 singles out confirmed by her team.
On another note Beyonce follows her heart and that’s key to longevity. She is amazing and will never fade away. Her Mj tribute was the best, always snatching the spotlight, ALWAYS This woman was really born to entertain, cannot wait for what else she have for that video.

Party was never sent to radio mate, its played based on request and appeal, they’ve been playing it the week the album leaked and its now no16 on RnB charts im so impressed but im worried what wil happen if she does decide to release Party properly but guess what? i heard Jcole shot his scenes for Party remix recently so thats promising. im still worried about party and countdown clashing on urban radio though,
as or love on top, it charted cus of VMA and its the 3rd Australian/ New zealand single, its not going to be released in US …. at least not as the 3rd single

Party is gettin urban play BECAUSE it was announced as a single. Most singles get decent play as soon as they are announced. But it was canceled ON THE WEEKEND it was supposed to be officiallly up for adds. Cus it became obvious NOBODY was supporting this outside of Urban radio.. and even urban radio were not that supportive.
A big urban hit can usually get 60Million AI.
Party has bee stuck between 15-20Million AI for WEEEEKS.

I love B and all…but for realz, none of the songs on 4 are gonna be big hits and I think it was expected by her and her team. There are some standouts and fan favorites, but I almost want to call this a concept album. Nothing fits into the climate of todays music, and I think she realized that doing an album like this that she wouldnt have the major singles she’s used to. I’ve said it before, and Ill say it again…this album only sold the units it did because she has a HUGE fanbase that will buy ANYTHING she does. Beyonce did whatever was hot to became a superstar, and now she just wants to do what she wants and I think she deserves that. However, the stans with all these fake facts and figures and acting like when she does something that is “just ok” yall act like she just did something groundbreaking..come on yall, it isnt necessary. I LOVE Beyonce, but Im real enough to say that this album isnt everybodys cup of tea and isnt what people are used to from her….It happens to every career artist. They follow their heart…realize the price of following their heart if more than they are willing to pay….and they go back to what everyone wants from them. Nobody willingly gives up domination! Trust me…the next album will be an affair so tailored to current musical tastes and radio…everyone will forget 4 ever happened.
If Beyoncé and her team are trying to make the album platinum before she gives birth to Brooklyn Carter-Knowles, I think she should release an EP of remixes of 6 of the best songs of ‘4’ kind of what Jennifer Lopez did with ‘J-Lo’.
For example she should have remixed ‘Love on Top’ with both Mary J Blige and Mariah Carey. She already remixed ‘Party’ with J. Cole. She should invite Usher on the remix of “Start Over”, and Toni Braxton on ‘I miss you’. And the list goes on.

…okay between the B fans/Stans info and the info being posted on this blog I have no clue what is a single, what videos are coming out ( some if ever). I get she has a passion for this and Beyonce releases videos for every song but there’s a sloppiness to this whole era that’s a little exhausting. Havent seen the countdown video yet and I’m holding off because the preview clip was just…yeah. I don’t know why Beyonce is rushing so hard with the videos when the singles are all over the place. I expected Countdown to at least be in the top 20 after all the excitement, the good news is it’s at #99 so it’s at least in the ITunes Top 100.
I get it’s an album for fans but she could handle it a little better.

As for the rest of what you said…well isn’t that the double edged sword in your argument? If Beyonce gets #1’s well…other’s faves could never. If Beyonce doesn’t…well she’s too ‘legendary’ to care. If she gets awards at an awards show it’s a testament to her talent. If she doesn’t or gets less than someone else than the awards show was irrelevant anyway. …it must really hurt the mind to live like that.
Calm down and wake up. Music should reach everyone whether they like it or not is up to their personal taste, but the delivering of music to the masses should be handled more clearly. Not everyone watches every move she makes to know what singles or out or videos being passed. There is some confusion there. So ‘kid’ back up and sit down, let one day go by where you’re not dragged.

While I give Bey major props for her music, the 4 era just lacks so much direction. I feel like she’s trying to pull a B’Day and release all her singles. However, everything feels so rushed. I think Bey’s team is set on releasing all these videos because she will be immobile in a few months. So they are rushing to keep her relevant. However, her videos are not classics. Yes, Run the World and BTINH are def legendary status…but honestly….1+1, Countdown, and Love On Top are recession specials that are too forgettable. While Rihanna gets a lot of heat for not dancing as much in her videos…I would prefer the opposite for Bey. Sometimes simplicity can mean so much. Look at BTINH. It was a beautiful video that was elegant but simple. She’s always trying to prove she can dance. Girl, sit down.
I’m not sure when this video is going to be released, but she just released, “Countdown”. Can they at least let that video ride a little bit and then release, “Love On Top” much later on? It’s too much back to back stuff going on here. It feels like a Beyonce overload. They need to space these videos out and give the public something to look forward to. Build up the anticipation. “Love On Top” in my opinion shouldn’t be released for at least another month or two. I know alot of people like (or) love Beyonce, but as the saying goes, “Too much of a good thing is not always good for you.”

She doesn’t want to run the risk of turning people off from over exposure. People like the element of surprise and to be left on the edge of their seat for the next thing to come around. It makes you appreciate an artist that much more and it gives you something to look forward to. You already hear people saying, “I’m sick and tired of seeing her”, or “Wont she go and sit down somewhere!”. Comments like these in and of itself speaks of people who feel that she’s over exposed, and their getting turned off. As you said, “She is Beyonce she can do that….”. And, once again, you’re right. But, she needs to remember to take the public’s opinion into consideration too. After all, the public is what made her who she is in the first place.

I think it’s great she has alot of visuals for this album, bc this album has so many different flavors and everyone relates to different songs off the album. Honestly it doesn’t matter if she released a video three days ago, because it’s not like alot of channels play music videos anymore. So the only way you will see this video most the time is by looking it up. I’m sure most of her fans have no problem with that! Which is really who she does it for. The thing is if she released a new video every day, i’m sure alot of people would still be clicking to see it.
