We “hear” legal clearance issues prevented Andre 3000 from appearing in the track’s forthcoming video, which is why the decision was made to enlist Cole. A shame as his verse doesn’t touch that of the Outkaster’ers. Still, a respectable contribution to a blazing hot track.

Positive first: the song is totally growing on me.I still think that it’s a bit longer than it needs to be, like I had said a few months ago, but I am starting to like it instead of just tolerating with it 😉 I’ve loved the 90’s vibe since it was released, but now I’m getting used to the overall sound of the song.Not my favorite (‘LET’S START OOOOOOOVEEEER’), but it’s a good track.

Cole is featured in the video and this is the Single Release for that track used for the video. And while Andre’s verse did in fact take the song to a whole ‘nother level, it does not entirely MAKE the song. That is, the song, with it’s production and melody (lent from Beyonce alone) is alone a standout hot track. So in essence, I’m saying the song was already a hot track, but Andre 3000 made it even hotter. But his absence from the song doesn’t make it any less of hit than it really is.

In the words of Blaine and Antoine from, “In Living Color” – Hated It!!!! While I’m not a huge fan of the song in the first place, let’s keep it real – Andre 3000 made that song! If it weren’t for him, it would be tired and boring. So on that note, I’m not feeling it. Somethings are better left alone. And, this was one of those things.

“Tuck down” and “Get it” are both slang terms so the meaning is loose not definate.

and she also stated “Tonight the night I give everything”…. the Lyrics don’t match a 10yr relationship just the way she sang “Put a ring on it” when she is already married…the song was not written for her relationship it was to relate to her FANS because she is MARRIED….So again, the LYRICS are WACK and can be interpeted the way it’s written….there isn’t a intro, body and conclusion to tell the story she was trying to deliver…it was RUSHED!

It’s decent but the original is much better. J Cole’s verse didn’t really add anything to the song and in fact I think it took away from the song. J Cole is definitely one of the hottest young rappers out right now and I definitely think he is going places but he can deliver some really lackluster verses sometimes. This isn’t the first time he has disappointed me on a feature, this is actually the 5th or 6th. *sigh*
I’m sure Beyonce let him do the remix because she is hot right now, not to mention he is signed to her husbands label. She tends to hop on the bandwagon of the hot new artist, (like those two horrible ass remixes she did with Lady Gimmick or Shakira collaboration) but usually when Beyonce collaborates with other ‘hot’ artist it doesn’t turn out hot. *shrugs*

I must be listening to something else, bc his part was not bad. I liked it better honestly because he actually rode the beat. But to each his own I rather just hear her sing actually so I really don’t care i’m still going to listen to the song, bc the chords are bomb! I actually like this, and here is why:
J.Cole recorded multiple verses for this song, but they ultimately chose Andre 3000 for the final version. To me, it seems like they didn’t want that time to go to waste, so they enlisted J.Cole for the REMIX. Besides, they wanted a shorter rap verse for the single, and I don’t think it would have done Andre any justice to cut his verse short.
I honestly don’t understand why people are overreacting. I initially hated “Party” altogether, but now it’s one of my favorites, I feel like listeners can get so irrational when it comes to critiquing a song or artist, especially after hearing it for the first time.
And some of these lyric breakdowns… I swear the people writing them have no credibility whatsoever, the grammar of some of these posts makes me want to vomit. A mistake or typo is one thing but jeeze, when every sentence is that bad, I don’t know why I still bother trying to decipher them.
Yenno to those who are saying cole’s verse was whack, he initially made 3 verses for this song, but bey picked the shortest one. Cole even said in an interview the other verse he did want on the song was much much better and longer too, but of course the good man that he is, he couldn’t complain cause he felt blessed enough to be on a track with her.

Actually, J. Cole was cut from the original version in favor of Andre 3000. After J. Cole had written and recorded his verse, Columbia (with Beyonce’s compliance, obviously) decided to replace it with Andre’s verse. Now, J. Cole has been re-replaced… with himself. I’m glad; good for him.
