Seemingly unfazed by the less than stellar sales of his latest album ‘Future History‘, Jason Derulo has kept the album’s promotional train rolling with a new music video today, for the single ‘Breathing’.
The follow up to his clips for the songs ‘It Girl‘ and ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home‘ , the visual for ‘Breathing’ sees the Pop upstart tackle more conceptual ground than exhibited in his previous releases.

Well produced and a far cry from the cliche ridden affairs that have been his previous efforts, the song and the video are impressive from start to finish.
For in this release, there is the personality and aesthetic opinion many would say he is short supply of.
For once, he is not the unoriginal ‘Chris Brown wannabe‘ but an artist in his own right, in control of his surroundings, with a clear and precise creative cause.

Does he make generic songs? yes. But this song is not worse than some songs that get #1´s I don´t know why and the boy at least can dance and make music

This is his best song and video to date.I loved the colors, I liked the vibe, it’s slick and groovy…an overall great video.It’s all about having the right director, the right time and the right song at the right time (it’s not that he delivered BECAUSE he flopped 😉 )
I’m not going to feel bad for him, though.He chose to go down the generic route since the beginning of his career only caring about temporary success and ignoring the fact that he would get lost in the numerous radio smashes of even newer acts.And despite that, he still got arrogant (‘Future History’ as an album title 🙄 ).

Um…..so I guess I am the only one who doesn’t see what the big deal about the video is. I mean it’s cute but ya’ll are acting like this is the best video that you’ve seen all year. Please! What’s so creative about it?! He sat in a chair half the video and there was really no climax just a bunch of random dance scenes and a couple of seriously uneeded close ups of his face. Ugh! His dancing is his just …….laughable. He always looks like he is ‘trying’.
The song isn’t that bad to me though. I think it should have been his first single too. I guess we’ll see how it does on the charts, maybe it will get him a top ten. I don’t think it will do anything for his sales though. *shrugs*

Talent and can sing… yes I can believe that, after all didn’t his new cd sell what… 23,000 as of today or that may be too many… talent yet he has never headlined his own tour, I mean a real tour at arena’s not 1,500-2,500 venue. Talent yet how many awards have he won…Creatively… pictures looking like Deangelo’s, MJ, etc…. creatively is when you can at least create something on your own, what has he done? OMG! I love the video and the song. It drew me in and captured my attention. Jason Derulo’s insides were blue and glowing with passion and emotion. Guess he’s really feeling blue. Loved the emotion and the other symbols represented throughout the video. The supernatural and mysterious elements were great. I love Jason and his vision. The Dancing beat is there so Jason is not just dwelling in the pain. I totally love the new Future History album, and the lyrics are awesome.
