Nicki Minaj Readies 2 New Videos

Harajuku hitmaker Nicki Minaj may have not gotten the initial response she expected for her latest offerings ‘Roman In Moscow’ and “Stupid Hoe”, but that hasn’t stopped the Trinidadian from pressing forward with their respective promotions.  In a bid to boost interest in the projects, and much to the delight of Barbs and Ken Barbs, Minaj is readying not one, but two videos for the songs.

With their parent album ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ landing in stores in less than two months (February 14th), you may get to see the visuals on your screens sooner than you think.

Taking to Twitter to lend the announcement, find out when you can expect the new-new from Nicki after the jump:

The timing on the video releases makes sense.  Given that the songs’ releases will coincide with the rapper’s scheduled appearance at the 2012 Superbowl with pop icon Madonna and Sri Lankan songstress/rapper M.I.A, it will be a sort of marketing ‘Massive Attack’ if you will.  But, if these bids will do anything to excite and incite fan interest, remains to be seen.  For as her first album saw, Miss Minaj may have to go back to the drawing board if she’s looking to get more fans onboard the ‘Pink Friday’ followup. She’s gonna FLOP

  2. 4FLOPSTAYINYOURLANEBIOTCH December 30, 2011

The songs will always be a mess regardless of it she makes videos in support of them or not. She should just go back into the studio and come out with something decent and stop with the mindless fast-food Rihanna wanna be “rap music”.

  4. I’ma have to send her to her maker December 30, 2011

I believe the two wierd singles she released were just for hype for the new album. An attention-getter. Kinda weird how she already making videos for all those songs. But Stupid h** gained a whooping 400,000 views in only 3 days. It’s now at 800 or 900. Close to a million. I don’t believe nicki will flop since she always seems to know what she’s doing. Massive Attack wasn’t her best song based on the public but PF still went on to do well regardless. And she’s had a lot of other songs that have flopped in a year and still remain to stay relevant and get her money. But who knows how this will work out. I wasn’t very impressed with SH and RIM but it’s nicki so whatever. If anybody else made a song like that they’d be done. At least we know she doesn’t always take herself too seriously in a field of work.

l dont know what ppl expect from her.Nicki isnot doing it for #1 single like your next pop single.she loves what she does and have money to release wtv video she want.

l like her vid because they have some budget and she is really animated.l respect the fact that she follows her artistry and her heart not what iTunes or the HOT100 think.

    Bring it roman !!

  6. Roman December 30, 2011

Exactly… Nicki isn’t 1 of those mainstreams hookers that will do almost anything for a #1, bad timing but we all have our fingers pointed @ Katy Perry…

So I respect Nicki, she gets enough commercial success from her other ventures! So she gives her fans what they want. I believe she is what the industry needed, someone who isn’t caught up in the success but rather who enjoys + delivers… I anticipate the releases…

I don’t like these new songs. She’s hit or miss for me, but I know she’ll do just fine. She’s going to sell more on this next album–her star will keep climbing. There is a chance that she’ll peak early like Lady Gaga, but I’m not thinking so….

  8. Royalkev December 30, 2011

I don’t really care for ‘Stupid H**’, but I see Nicki is only striking while the iron is hot. This follow up to her debut will make a statement either way it goes. If she churns out a new album that’s more impressive than her last it will prove that her new found success was not a fluke. If it sells well, this era will definitely see her as a major force in the rap game. If it’s a disappointment this may not come to anyone as surprise (especially, to those people predicting her downfall). Nicki has a lot riding on this. I think she should buckle down and put a real effort into this album. I think she has skills, but her work thus far isn’t reflecting what she’s capable of. ‘Stupid H**’ has her off to quite an interesting start.

FLOP, HER TRUE PATHETIC TALENT IS SHOWING, H** CAN’T RAP FOR S*** AND EVEN LIP SYNCS (TRAGIC) CAN WE GET THE REAL B****** BACK IN THE GAME? TRINA/KIM/MISSY WHERE YALL AT? -__-

  10. HALF AMAZIN December 30, 2011

I am a casual Nicki Minaj listener. I liked her feature on Monster and I liked Moment For Life but I can’t take her seriously or even enjoy her sound consistently. Music feeds a need at a certain moment and everyone doesn’t deliver deep introspective lyrics but WTF this is all we got for female “rappers”? It’s like, after this, then what? Frequently you cant even understand what she’s saying because of the OVER-animation. However, she’s getting her checks and who wouldn’t?

  11. Very Funny December 30, 2011

@BLAH STOP IT!!! Don’t hate on a female rapper period. Nicki Manaj is selling records and performance at top venues. That’s a win for her and female rappers.

If you take Nicki away from hip-hop in 2011, female rap is DEAD! Don’t tell me what female rappers did in past. I live in the present. Tell me what others females are doing TODAY! I don’t live in the past. I live in the PRESENT.

  12. Kijano December 30, 2011

Nicki will slay, remember what everybody said about “dance a$$” now it’s in top 10 worldwide!! it’s gon be the same wth stupid h**!

  13. RDK December 30, 2011

nicki is doing her,her fans are asking for it so she is giving them what they want, and i actually like that song stupid H-oe..sounds good through them woofers, waiting on va va voom and that tracklist.

  14. Siren December 31, 2011

I don’t know maybe they will grow on me. I hope the real single is something along the lines of “I’m the best” that song kills. I don’t know about everyone else but the shots at Kim have lost their appeal also. Where the heck is all the other female rappers? 30040043003 male rappers and 1 female on the scene. lol.

  15. Sick Addiction December 31, 2011

I like the songs, since there buzz singles. So i’m expecting something ratchet. she is trying to get the urban fans back. She filmed three videos, so I think its the OFFICIAL single “VA VA VOOM”, wich is rumored to be dropping on the 2nd week of january too.

She has everything planned out so im not worried.
& I think the videos are gunna be a trilogy since they were.filmed together.

In 2WEEKS: OFFICIAL SINGLE, TRACK LISTING, & ALBUM COVER…..
    Just in time imo

  16. The Real B[randy] December 31, 2011

I bet she copies offa Lil Kim’s new pic. #copycat

  17. kayla December 31, 2011

For all you haters, these are promo singles so it really wouldnt matter if they did good or not..yall always said she gonna flop shes gonna flop..look at her now, second album..performing on the 2012 super bowl WITH madonna…nail polish and lip stick line..clothin line soon and just fuckkin kilin it..lol..
    #ThatsWhyYouMad

  18. Remey December 31, 2011

Nicki is really starting to scare me. These two songs are not single worthy! And they can’t be buzz singles because the album is not far from releasal. I’ve had these two songs on repeat to see if they would grow on me….but I still cringe.

Ms. Onika, I pray you have a solid sure fire plan that you’re cooking up. Because while Pink Friday was successful, there was a lot of things to learn from that era.

I was Stupidly about to put all my eggs in your basket for 2012, but I think I’ll keep them now and give them to Christina, Pink, or Ke$ha.

  19. michael c** December 31, 2011

WOW…. AT ALL THE HATE ON HERE…. IT’S FUNNY HOW, NICKI MINAJ HAS THE MOST POPULAR SONGS, SINGLES, AND ALBUM CUZ OF THE HATERZ…. HATING HER IS WHAT CAUSING HER TO BECOME FAMOUS…. 20. pop royalty ( The BeyHive ) December 31, 2011

  21. ROBOT December 31, 2011

idk im not excited about her new material im actually tired of her

  22. Lea December 31, 2011

I can’t believe she releasing videos for those wack songs.

  23. Maylashia December 31, 2011

Those songs are trash.Nicki is a “Stupid H**.”

  24. Stacy December 31, 2011

No matter how wack she gets the Nicki fans are going to support it regardless.Nicki got her fans are brain-washed.

  25. boomshaka December 31, 2011

RIM would have been 2x as good if she cut down the stupid voices. luckily these arent official singles, we will see what “Va Va Voom” sounds like. Nicki has had a good year considering shes a female rapper.

  26. YOOSONDALOOSE December 31, 2011

Hope these videos are owning, she needs them to be. Glad they aren’t official singles as I haven’t really felt the beats yet.

But I defo look forward to ‘Va Va Voom’, sounds good!

  27. NickiLuv December 31, 2011

When PF was released Nicki already had 3.2 mil Barbs and Kens on twitter, now she has over 8 mil. Her fanbase is expanding and when she releases this album she is gonna break records. Mark my words because when she does I’m gonna be doing an ‘I told you so post’.

  28. Justathought December 31, 2011

    @Half Amazin I totally agree..

@Very Funny I rather female hip hop be dead then just to accept anybody and anything just cause you wanted it revived so bad…

@RDK it’s hard to take certain things you say into consideration being that you usually don’t keep it a hunnet and just co sign everything Nicki does anyway..

@Ima send her yes I like everything you said however buzz track or not she shoulda went in. Also she’s expected to get those views off those songs based off her popularity alone. I work with teenage girls in a group home and they all viewed the songs and all hated it. They viewed it off of her name alone

Overall I don’t kno what to expect hopefully see can lyrically impress me om this album. I’m not expecting her to be a female Nas lyrically but I’m not impressed with the simple s*** now.

  29. Raven December 31, 2011

    Trash.

  30. RHI RHI IS QUEEN December 31, 2011

    IMA GET THE ALBUM REGARDLESS..

  31. THE GREAT LACEFRONCE. December 31, 2011

When this next album FLOPS, The GREAT LACEFRONCE will be here saying “told you so” !! 😀

  32. soooooo December 31, 2011

she needs to tone down the animation just a smidgen.

  33. arob December 31, 2011

Those first few comments sound crazy, nicki with this whole new gimmick is just trying to sale. Her music is totally watered down, with no real hip hop vibe to it. She is too animated, and watered down, that is what most artist do to their music to try to get sales.

  34. Guess What December 31, 2011

It’s amazing to me that ppl don’t see through this fake ass chick. Wow ppl are really brainwashed by this fake ass lying chick. She will never get my money. Thank god real female rappers are coming back. Missy, EVE, Lil Kim, etc & some new female rappers are on the rise. We can hear some music with substance. Nicki will never have substance in her music. Perfect example: Stupid H**

  35. Swaghigh December 31, 2011

Nicki is gonna flip hard with this one she developed a pop fan base and their not gonna buy this crap

  36. Justathought December 31, 2011

    FLOP !

  37. Justathought December 31, 2011

    FLOP!

  38. kayla December 31, 2011

Yeah…if you dont like this material, i quote “TAKE A FUCKKIN TRIP TO WHO GIVES A FUCKVILLE”

  39. ITAINTYOBABY December 31, 2011

Both songs are wack, and she’s the “Stupid H**” by making a diss record about Kim
just keeps Kim name out in the public and giving Kim the perfect stage for a comeback if Kim drops the right record something banging in the lines of the La Bella Mafia era

  40. Justathought January 1, 2012

Why is someone jacking my username?! Ugh..

  41. VA STAND UP!! January 3, 2012

I really don’t see a point in doing a video for these too horrible ass songs. Her own damn fans said they were terrible. Are they even singles or are they just ‘buzz’ singles? I’m guessing the videos will be low budget because there is no point in doing videos for songs that aren’t doing s*** on the charts.

I have a feeling this album isn’t gonna do to well and she may fall victim to the ‘sophomore’ slump. Both of the first two songs sound are worse than that damn “Massive Attack’ she released as a first single over a year ago. Her album comes out next month and I don’t really see any hype around it. I’m sure her die hard stans will buy it though.

Good luck to her anyways though….I really think she is gonna need it.
