If you want to talk about her sales then we should also point out the fact that her album fell out of the top 10 almost as fast as it entered. At least other “singles” artists have had albums that hovered in the top 10 for a while. Rihanna’s literally debuted and then sank like a rock. And by the way with all of the promo that she has been reviving since WFL became successful there isn’t really any excuse as to why her album has struggled to sell 400,000 copies in the US since it’s release.

I know nowadays those numbers are almost impossible but I´m not talking about numbers. The impact is the impact. If sales were like they were 10 years ago then Adele and her “21” would end at 25 million copies sold like only those 4 I mentioned did in the past. The Fame would have too. But definitely none of Rihanna or Beyonce albums have charted the way Adele has in every f****** country. I stand by what I have said. Do you really think any of Rihanna or Bey albums have had the stunning impact in every corner of the globe The Bodyguard, My heart will go on or Music Box had???? And I mean every corner, not USA, UK, Europe, Japan and Brazil. I mean everywhere!!! Of course thriller is one of the biggest examples but we are talking about females.
The charts are the charts and people´s recognition too. Sales can´t be compared but the charts and the impact can. And they can´t stand a chance.
We´ll see if Gaga does it again? Ok we´ll see. But I never said nothing about repeating. I said “at least once in their careers”, meaning with at least one album. Sales are mediocre compared to 8 years ago (2003) but Adele has managed to outsell already by a considerable margin Dangerously in Love (Beyonce´s best selling album, which was released in 2003)

lol thanks and hey u can never have too much, Beyonce. i like a variety of artists but noone encompasses as much as Bey. even he 4 u mentioned; the ones that can sing cannot dance, the one that can dance cant really perform. all of them are beneath her in terms of performance skills but this isnt bout that lol. how do u know Bey’s albums havent charted in those countries, of course it has, jus not selling as much as they would if it were in the 90s. the best selling albums of the artists u mentioned all probably went diamond in US or close to that which means majority of their sales still comes from there. Besides the US, there’s at least 1 foreign region where an artist respectably thrives eg Mariah is well loved in China, Asia; Madonna in UK. their US sales are proportional to ww sales so thats not really valid point. i mean Bey’s tour grossed over 100m dollars no other black artist in how many years can say that. she set a record in Brazil. whats the point of having huge sales for 1 era n then falling off? it mean they were selling based on hype eg Britney or they just got lucky. I agree having one huge and stellar album and then falling off is not better than having constant success. But girl (or boy) I mentioned f****** Celine Dion, mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Madonna… lots of huge albums and eras. Also, no need to talk about how Beyonce performs cos I was only talking about success (sales, charts, albums impact, etc). And finally yes I think having at least one of those monster eras Beyonce (or Rihanna) haven´t had has is important for how much impact you make in the music world ww. I mean, you can take My heart will go on, I will always love you, or Without you and thanks to those monster eras everybody between the ages of 0 and 100 in every country of the world knows those songs and were left stunned by them. Bey´s biggest songs are Crazy in love (her best to me) and Singles Ladies. Do you really think people aged 70 know those two songs and respect them? In every corner of this planet? I think not

i told u to drop that ww stance. we are in an internet age, do u think ppl need to buy singles/albums to actually hear it? and again those people u speak of had their highest sales in the main music markets so its all proportional to the performance of today’s stars. For a select few like Rihanna, their biggest may not be US, it’s UK but hey that’s the 2nd best. I guess u can draw the same comparison with Kylie Minogue (Rmbr Madonna vs Kylie gate hehe)
As for the songs, its legacy, impact and influence will grow with time. its current recongnition is already something of pride to behold. Do u think people held I will always love you, my heart will go on etc with the same accord that we do now? No its transgenerational. Now boy cut Bey some slack, she still has time, she may be 15 years deep but she’s only on her 4th solo album. You know Madonna, Mariah brought forth some of their best work in their 30s

Only one thing, I´m old enough to have lived for example My heart will go on impact and I tell you it was instant impact, same with the other songs I mentioned, and it was instant with the young people and with the elder people. It was a monster hit that will live forever and Beyonce or Rihanna have never had something similar, just no. I tell you cos I lived it. Crazy in Love I adored that song and everybody likes it, but the impact was among the young people like us, not in my parents or grandparents for example. It´s really not the same. I told u it´s not only the sales (I know they have declined), there are some other things one can get the impact or respect for a song or an artist people have
But don´t worry hun. beyonce murders Rihanna in such a sad way it´s almost insufferable for me to watch. Poor thing. She has had no rival among artists who debuted in the 00´s, talking about mainstream and superstars. only Alicia and Gaga can rival
