Because, less than a month since its release, her new single ‘Starships‘ has been certified platinum.

With 174,000 copies moved this week, the cut has now sold 1,029,000 units to date without the aid of a supporting visual.
This, comes shortly after her debut LP ‘Pink Friday‘ surpassed worldwide sales of 2 million copies and before she hits Europe for her upcoming tour.
With ‘Roman Reloaded’ out April 3rd, it’s clear Minaj’s stock has never been higher, set to rise further with the release of her Pepsi campaign.
To be honest, while her fans may choose to deny it, Nicki’s competition is no longer the Kim‘s, Trina‘s and Foxy‘s of the world but the Katy‘s, Rihanna‘s and Ke$ha‘s, all of whom will have to face Minaj on the charts with the release of forthcoming singles.
