June 19th marks the release of ‘Braveheart’, the latest project by Ashanti.
Launching the LP with ‘The Woman You Love‘, the songbird took to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live‘ to perform the single live.
Watch below…
As much as we like ‘Love’, it’s time Ashanti stopped pushing it and revamped her campaign.
For with two months to till the album’s release, there’s still time to fish for stronger material to ensure the LP gets the attention it deserves.
Yes, this performance was on of her best to date- but she might as well have been playing to closed ears, because the likelihood of Kimmel’s audience going out to purchase it are slim to none.
What she needs- are cuts catchy enough to grab listeners even if they don’t consider themselves to be Ashanti fans. Cuts, along the lines of Usher‘s ‘Climax’ or an R&B flavored ‘A Thousand Miles’, by Vanessa Carlton.
At least then, she has a greater chance of attracting passing trade in record outlets once ‘Brave’ debuts.
She f****** slayed! Give me BRAVEHEART!!
shut the f*** up yall don’t know shyt
Love the song but shr cant perform it correctly. Guess thats why she didnt do a mini promo run hitting the talk shows. Not only does she rely too much on the back track when singing along with it, but there are too many parts that she doesnt even attempt to sing along. Hopefully her next single is something more in her comfort zone
She murdered this performance I love this chick
WTH!!!! Poor Lil’ Tink Tink
That performance was beyond good. & I agree it’s her best to date. (Only because she performed it twice on GMA & Jimmy Kimmel) She did her damn thang. Ashanti shows how passionate she is. Her band, vocals, moves, lights, EVERYTHING was on point. & only a hater would disagree.
She rocked that stage! great job mami! 😀

im proud of her ! this was good.
Not really an Ashanti fan but you cant deny her growth and in the industry that is what its about growing and getting better. I give credit where it is due. and she did really well compared to her past performances.
The crowd was dry…
