‘Say Aah’ singer Trey Songz has certainly had much to say about his admiration ‘Run the World’ wonder Beyonce. Recently named the male face of the her husband’s clothing brand Roc-A-Wear, Songz has sung the praises of the Carters extensively in the past months.
While former bandmate Kelly Rowland has gotten her fill of camera time with Trigga, if this recent interview is anything to go by, he has his aim on another Destiny’s Child alum.

Oh no, Beyonce is not doing it. A collab with Beyonce, nope. Only a handful of artists have collaborated with Bey (Shakira, Mary J Blige, Gaga, Alicia) you know, huge artists with Grammys & multi platinum albums. Beyonce’s days of collaborating with not so successful artists have ended since Dangerously In Love (2003). I am not seeing it for Trey. Alicia, well I don’t see it either. Sorry.

Bey only collabs with friends of her or Jay, or legends. Trey is neither so i don’t see it for him.
Alicia usually only collabs with “artist’s artists” but I think this could be good for her. She needs to reach out to the urban audience again because some people still have a negative opinion of her over Swizz. Trey is the definition of an urban artist but he’s not really “hot” right now.
I don’t think this will happen…he & kelly should do a duet
Very ambitious Trey. I won’t say it will never happen but put in the work. The past 5 years has proven that damn near anything is possible in the entertainment industry.
Ugh tbh im tired of everyone “plotting” a duet with Beyonce … Duets that never see the light of day. He can take a number behind Adele, Jessie J, John Legend, Mariah Carey and all the other artists that have been “plotting” a duet with Beyonce for some time now. Thank you.

Beyonce can’t touch Alicia Keys musically or lyrically. No artists of Alicia’s age range, not even Brandy or Usher can touch Alicia musicaLly, artistically, or lyrically. But vocally, Beyonce is slightly better(when she isn’t screaming)
All that only proves Alicia is better. A.Keys fan base > Bey fan base.

Alicia is better lyrically and artistically point blank period. As far as musically at singing Alicia and bey are on 2 COMPLETELY different levels. I Hate when people compare the 2.
@Jersey Alicia has danced and sung at the same time before and also what does that have to do with having great God giving talent? You don’t have dance around a stage to show you have one of kind talent. This shows that she just don’t sit behind a piano all the time. And I liked all her albums

I do agree that the artistry in Alicia’s music is more reputable. But vocally, she is not better than Brandy. In any way, shape or form. Brandy’s register is even better than Beyonce’s and she doesn’t have to strain or scream to get there.

I love Beyonce but if she wants hit singles then she better collaborate with artists. Her A&R are always rejecting requests from these underrated artists like Trey! I want Bey to collaborate with Trey, Adele, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Coldplay, Drake, and Gaga and Jay-Z again.

Most females write their own lyrics, women are good at that. I think Bey was into songwriting earlier on in her career but not anymore. Now she’s more involved in production aspects of records. I so love Trey Songz, he has everything going for him, he is good looking, he has a great body and his voice is really awesome and i love his music, he is great artiste and i cant believe he is not rated in you guys book.

Am I the only one seeing this as a modern day R&B Classic, if done right. Ive been wanting KING B to duet with a male R&B singer and Trey fit the bill. If he brings his A-Game, because we all know KING B will, this could an iconic song! I miss the days of soulful female, male duets. I actually think KING B would give him a duet quicker than Alicia. Trey has been name dropping KING B’s name like crazy, the last past years. He even talked about dueting with her, with Jay Z.
