Just like her stage performances, her charitable efforts seem unable to proceed without problem. Case, point, her recent visit to Barrington High School in Chicago.

The tabloid darling was scheduled to make an early AM stop at the school to visit the 2500 students who took part in a project she sponsored. Titled ‘Shine Bright Like A Diamond’, the scheme saw schools across the United States submit videos highlighting their charitable work – with the winning school receiving a visit from the model herself.
And while Barrington was indeed blessed with the 25 year old’s presence, this came after a 5-hour delay (the entire school day) which the star would blame on “traffic” (this despite already being in the area for her ‘Diamonds World Tour’). Once there, she would only spend 15 minutes – briefly mingling with the still-excited teens and posing for the all-important photo opp. {Source}

I think it’s always great when an artist takes time to do charity or help out with their community, etc…but how does traffic make you 5 hours late when you’re already in Chicago for the event & tour? That does not make sense. Try driving in Los Angeles during hush hour and see how crazy traffic is but even that would only make you 2 hours late not 5.
