Miley Cyrus Heats Up Hot 97; Talks Twerking & Mom’s Weave

Published: Thursday 27th Jun 2013 by Sam

Miley Cyrus continued her foray into the world of Urban today, stopping by one of the genre’s biggest radio stations, Hot 97, to talk about her “musical reincarnation”.

The 20-year-old also dished on her association with the twerking phenomena, as well as her mom’s weave. Yes, you read right.

Watch the former teen star try and achieve what the Britney’s and Christina’s before her were able to do – penetrate a major market beyond Pop.

Still don’t get it. It seems, however, that the masses do – judging by the #5 (and rising) peak of Cyrus’ new single ‘We Can’t Stop’ on the Billboard Hot 100.

She’s trash. She’s a try hard, she can’t twerk, and she’ll be way over her urban stage by the end of the summer.

let me preface this by saying that i am a lana del rey fan but as such i don’t really feel comfortable calling anyone else a try hard. take note.

Stop making this a race issue and YOU WILL get it! If the black dudes who produced this song didn’t deny Miley the opp to earn a hefty check for their services, then why go so hard on MC?! This song is hot and its just another wonderful example of the freshness that Mike Will & Co. is serving today. PLUS, the song was intended for RiRi–aren’t ya’ll passive aggressive haters glad someone with pipes handled the vocals on this track?!

Just give into, it’s a great anthemic song for the season. Sure, she’s trying too hard, but thats what the kids do these days.

She’s THAT white girl that thinks she’s IN cause she’s working with a lot of black rappers and producers. Little that she know, they just want the money. Too bad it isn’t gonna work… “I’m also a singer… I can sing.”
