Well before the release of her debut album ‘Souled Out’, Def Jam darling Jhene Aiko has inked a deal with ‘BMI’, enlisting them for representation of the public performances of her music!

Want more on her latest venture?

Full story below…

Announced after her unfortunate set at ‘Summer Jam 2014’, Aiko’s deal with the music rights organisation will now see them take care of all live performances put on by the star, responsible for the PBR&B classic ‘The Worst.’

On their pairing, the company’s writer/publisher relations Catherine Brewton shared:

Jhené Aiko has brought a new and fresh sound to music. Her smooth voice and compelling lyrics are the perfect combination to fill a void in popular music.

Your thoughts?

Founded in 1939, ‘BMI’ says of their services:

BMI supports its songwriters, composers and publishers by taking care of an important aspect of their careers – getting paid. BMI supports businesses and organisations that play music publicly by offering blanket music licenses that permit them to play more than 8.5 million musical works. Both relationships save each time and money.
