  3. C Squad March 16, 2015

Didn’t Beyonce try and steal her Identity?

    • BeyRihLiyah March 16, 2015

oh the irony didn’t ci-nigggga steal Janet and Aaliyah’s identity’s

    • Readyornot March 16, 2015

Nope “Crazy in love” as released 2 years before Amerie’s “One thing” so its more the other way round lol.
for the longest I thought the same thing lol.

      • king z March 16, 2015

why are the ignorant always the first to speak?

ameriie and rich harrison basically put each other on in the same way tim/aaliyah did.

rich did ameriie’s 2002 debut album and had already put the go-go sound on the map before Bey took it to the next level w/ crazy in love

      • gina March 16, 2015

Wrong. Ameriie worked with him first in 2002 on her debut album. So yeah thiefyonce stole her identity.

    • AnnaMaeKeatingNewWig March 16, 2015

Gurl you can’t be serious! :/ This is the same Amerie that sung on the DC tribute, if she really had a problem with Bey why was she singing ‘Lose My Breath’ along with Rihanna and Teaira Mari

      • Alex March 16, 2015

Thank you!!! Make these h*** remember!!

    • AnnaMaeKeatingsNewWig March 16, 2015

BYE GINA! Rich Harrison used 60’s/70’s samples on all of his work circa 2002-2004, listen to the instrumentals and the majority of his work sounds identical. LOL you sound dumb af saying Beyonce copied her – 1 thing sounds like direct copy of CIL, buh I’m sleep tho

      • Bam Bam March 16, 2015

  4. NENE March 16, 2015

She use to inspire beyonce. or should i say beyonce use to steal from her…

    • Special Delivery March 16, 2015

Chile please this one hit wonder didn’t inspire nothing. Rich Harrison was working with many people before her.

      • gina March 16, 2015

He was not. Ameriie was the first artist he worked with, and the one who put him on the map..

      • How Many Drinks March 16, 2015

        Mary J Blige says hello.

      • AnnaMaeKeatingNewWig March 16, 2015

GINA wrong again boo! MJB was the first one to work with him and was the one who put him on the map, all of the work he did with Amerie flopped until 1 thing hit.

  5. martin miller March 16, 2015

AMERIIE back with Rich H. Astounding, I didn’t know if it would happen again!

  6. @FutureCIARA March 16, 2015

Wow, Is she finally making a comeback! Im here for it!

  7. MusicMatters201 March 16, 2015

Not bad. A Grower. But I don’t think its strong enough for a lead single. Then again I hated “Why Don’t We Fall In Love” and “1 Thing” at first. But I don’t hate this, just wish it was a bit stronger. #shrug. Still a fan of her tho

  8. Slay_Hive March 16, 2015

Cute I’ll listen later. It’s not Beyonce’s fault that Rich saved his best work for her. He still eating off Crazy in love. 😉 I know he’s thankful for her!

    • Carry On March 16, 2015

Crazy in love, Dangerously in love, drunk in love, hella in love which eva. She stole the idea from the one the only, originator Toni Braxton with that 2 Pac version. If you don’t believe then check boo on utube before they take it down or hide it to keep they game. Research is not that hard people unless you don’t want to know the truth.especially if you really like music. Anyway, my cousin played one thing over and over about 1,000 times I swear.

      • tits mcgee March 16, 2015

Your confusing crazy in love with me and my boyfriend.

      • tits mcgee March 16, 2015

      • AnnaMaeKeatingsNewWig March 16, 2015

LOL nope I believe your referring to ’03’ Bonnie & Clyde’ and Toni Braxtons ‘Me & My Boyfriend’ which both sample 2pacs ‘Me & My Girlfriend’. The original is 2pac’s so I can’t with people talking about stealing a sample of original work, if anything’s been stolen its been from 2pac himself since he’s not alive to sign off the rights to his music and decide who uses it. They both obviously got the rights to it from 2pacs estate and his publishing were already made aware that two artists intended to use it, so it was a matter of who released it first – Toni had the opportunity to do so but she waited for it to be a second single, and didn’t expect Jay-Z’s to be popular. It’s fair play, and its typical cattiness for Toni to direct her anger at Beyonce who featured on the song, instead of Jay-Z (who obviously signed off on the sample before even securing a featured artist)

      • tits mcgee March 16, 2015

Thank you Anna Mae. I wasn’t going into all that. You’re exactly right. Sampling and remakes are done all the time, as long as you pay for it, it’s not stealing.

  9. Special Delivery March 16, 2015

#NowWatching Amerie, Rihanna and Tiarra Maria Destinys Child Tribute.

    • Slay_Hive March 16, 2015

Lmao that was so sweet of them to tribute the Queen even tho they all looked and sounded a

      • Blue Ivy Rod (SlayMaticThinksImSlayriah) March 16, 2015

Yet the act that tributed your fave when she first arrived is now outselling her. Beyonce who? #6yearsago

      • Slay_Hive March 16, 2015

Outselling Her Where? Not Even With 50 albums. Stfu

      • AnnaMaeKeatingsNewWig March 16, 2015

SMH amateurs they came thru wearing different coloured outfits, Rih was a step behind everyone as if she was Michelle, and they kept lipsinging to the Dc backing track LOL! I live for the shade of it all!

    • How Many Drinks March 16, 2015

SCREAMING. I always get a good kiii watching forehead struggle to keep up with the dance steps.

  10. BeyRihLiyah March 16, 2015

I like it she has always been underrated and I like the cover art

  11. #TeamTinashe Stan March 16, 2015

Like it but it’s definitely not SINGLE WORTHY. It’s one of those songs that should be left on an album without a music video but it is sure damn good.
    I missed her!! 😀

  12. Britney Stan March 16, 2015

    Another one of Beyonces inspirations.

    • SLAYRIAH CAREY (TOUR DE FORCE) March 16, 2015

      Correction: one of MANY**

      • Britney Stan March 16, 2015

Right she’s copied Britney plenty of times. Too bad she couldn’t copy Britneys sales lol

      • SLAYRIAH CAREY (TOUR DE FORCE) March 16, 2015

Lmao stop it! She could never and will never reach that level in sales. She’s even below Alicia Keys.

      • Krista March 16, 2015

Wasn’t Britney the one who said she was inspired by Beyonce? But Im sure the talented Beyonce doesn’t want to copy the epic decline. Shes fine being consistant.

      • Slay_Hive March 16, 2015

        DEEAAATH @ Krista

      • Lolz March 16, 2015

        Loool clock ha Krista

  13. The Beysus Impact March 16, 2015

More people need to work with Rich… We need more Crazy In Love/1 Thing/Get Right songs out there!

    • BeyRihLiyah March 16, 2015

I agree we need more upbeat fun songs like those

  14. Dustin March 16, 2015

So good. Still not radio but I’m not sure that Ameries sound is really radio anyway. I don’t think amerie is interested in being a superstar. If this is an indication of what because I love it vol2 is gonna sound like I’m ready for it.

  15. Room319 March 16, 2015

Rich Harrison can do no f****** wrong. KILLIN!

  16. xedos March 16, 2015

They trying to bring back that gogo sound. Its going no where

  17. Britney Stan March 16, 2015

    Not here for it.

    • BeyRihLiyah March 16, 2015

just like no one hasn’t been here for s****** since 2007 or should I say before 2007

  18. SLAYRIAH CAREY (TOUR DE FORCE) March 16, 2015

    Sounds decent I guess

  19. Slay_Hive March 16, 2015

I would love for Beyonce to work with him again. I’d Liiive for another crazy in love/freakum dress/suga mama type of slayage!

    • Rima March 16, 2015

      Boy shut up

    • Krista March 16, 2015

Yess I know. Its also Beyonces signature sound.

    • B**** bye March 16, 2015

      Ghetto b****

    • Skyfall March 16, 2015

  20. Krista March 16, 2015

    I love Rich Harrison.

  21. ~The Arcade~ March 16, 2015

    “Its Ameriie/ took a lil time out/ took a vacation/ but boys I’m back”

    Love Ameriie

  22. Dirty Laundry March 16, 2015

The song is stale, forgettable and all around basic.

    • BeyRihLiyah March 16, 2015

it’s better than everything Kelly flopland has ever released “out loud” will chart before anything Kelly will release

  23. RoyalKev March 16, 2015

Omg! Ameriie and Rich are back together again!!!! Yesss! I had plans for this girl … I’m definitely feeling the song. I need a full album of this! Nothing Ameriie did after her debut touch ‘All I Have’. I hope this is only a taste of what’s to come.

  24. Paulo March 16, 2015

YAAAAASSSS come thru bae! After her last crap album, I thought she lost it and after Richgirl went to s***, I thought Rich Harrison was gone from the game. glad to be wrong! single or not I’m feeling this new song. Can’t wait for BILI pt 2

  25. king z March 16, 2015

my God this song has been slain in the SPIRIT!

people praise Brandy’s harmonies, but everybody sleeps on Ameriie’s!! the girl got the dopest arrangements in the game, second only to B-rocka!

    • RoyalKev March 16, 2015

Wow, 2nd huh? I do really love Ameriie’s arrangements too, but when I think of great harmonies I always think of Bran & the Jackson’s first! A is really up there though!

  26. atl beyhive March 16, 2015

Comeback? When was she ever here? #2hitwonder. Her vocals are ugly and screechy.

  27. Stephy March 16, 2015

I remember her… Shoot, I always wished she would’ve gave Beyonce that song “One Thing”… Bey would’ve taken that song to a whole new level on the B Day Tour. Oh well..

    • SMH March 16, 2015

She had already stolen enough from Ameriie by that point.

      • Stephy March 16, 2015

Oh… Well, Bey should’ve stolen “One Thing” too… And, made the song BETTER

      • Alex March 16, 2015

How the f*** did she steal when she came out before her??? #Dumbass

    • BeyRihLiyah March 16, 2015

      I like this performance

  28. SMH March 16, 2015

She obviously doesn’t care that beyonce ripped off and got rich off of her aesthetic and sound. And before you fleas respond, do some research and see who worked with who first before you comment and make yourselves look stupid.

    • Lolz March 16, 2015

You’re always hating on Beyonce its unhealthy. I wouldn’t expect you to see the real picture. I’ve done my research and Beyonce did no ripping off, she took a RICH HARRISON song. Thats his sound. Amerie don’t own s***. Always reaching with T Rex arms.

  29. Liam March 16, 2015

this is a nice summer banger and true to her sound with a lil ratchet lean…i’m definitely feeling this joint and the cover is s***.

  30. meh March 16, 2015

Dang you can’t go to any article and not see the pressed bring up Beyoncé! Amerie will flop and the song is basic,I’m starting to think the regulars are staff of TGJ! No one can say the same stuff everyday and not change it up!

  31. LB March 16, 2015

This is hot, I wish she kept it until Beyonce left the studio and had something out though, we all know someone has got long fingers.

Anyway I am feeling this Amerie, hopefully it blows up.

  32. How Many Drinks March 16, 2015

The song is cute but Rich Harrison is like Pharrel and Timb. He has a distinct sound. He produced Get Right for J Lo which came 2 years after CIL and also has that same sound. Beyonce giving him the biggest hit of his career does not mean she was watching Amerie when Amerie was the one dancing like a puppet for Beyonce in the early stages anyway.

  33. FutureCIARA March 16, 2015

    Baby, This song is HAWT!!!!

    I LOVE the intro!!!!
    I need this song ASAP!

  34. How Many Drinks March 16, 2015

People are acting like Crazy In Love was the first time Bey did that sound when Work It Out existed, came out before Ameries first album and was produced by the Neptunes.

  35. Black power March 16, 2015

Yessss I’m here for it! Nice song

  36. tits mcgee March 16, 2015

Kewl song. I likey!! Get it Ms. A.

  37. Gee March 16, 2015

Glad to see Ameriie back at it with Rich Harrison I’m feeling it can’t wait to see what these two have in store for the masses musically.

  38. Truth March 16, 2015

Okay!! Song is HOT but not single material…great buzz material but NOT official I’m here and back!

Amerie helped Rich craft the gogo/r&b sound with “All I have” 2002 on Need U tonight (a slowed down version) and Gots to be there.

Beyonce used it on CIL with a JayZ feat (destined for greatness thanks to him) 2003 The ONLY gogo influenced song…HIT

Amerie returns with an WHOLE album in 2005 full of the gogo/r&b/funk sound. HIT>

Beyonce returns with a WHOLE album full of gogo/r&b and funk sound. She even uses the same vocal style that Amerie is known for on non Rich Harrison produced tracks (Green Light)

    Full length albums
    Beyonce’s Bday (2007) was the Amerie’s Touch(2005) knock off

  39. Rihboy March 16, 2015

It’s different. It stands out. I like it. Let’s see what promotion will be like. Someone has to get it right.

  40. Casual-T March 16, 2015

Not bad, but I am wondering how this fits the 2015 landscape, especially for an artist who hasn’t been relevant for nearly 10 years. It’s a great album cut and a decent 2nd or 3rd single, but not that breakout comeback hit she needs.

  41. eric March 17, 2015

The song tries too hard to be different. It’s got too much going on.
