For many, messy best defines the disaster that has been Rihanna‘s eighth album campaign.
Singles have been flying out left and right, with few sticking commercially and fewer making an impact (pop)culturally.
And yet, based on the model’s endless array of holidays, it would appear the 27-year-old is unfazed.
Could it be because she’s readying a major resurgence next month?

On Instagram today, the social media maven sent fans into a flutter after replying “September baby” to a picture posted by popular fansite Rihanna Diva:
The snap simply spotlighted the model’s footwear and new tattoo – the year of her birth, 1988.
Still, her cryptic comment was enough to send speculation into overdrive, with many optimistically leaning towards its meaning being tied to ‘R8.’

On the one hand, we spot a Puma shoe, which is notable in light of the star’s upcoming new line for the sportswear giant. Hence, logic suggests she’s referring to that.
Yet, we – like others – have been hearing mounting murmurs of a November album release, which would make a September “lead” single not far fetched. Add to that the obvious opportunities to synergize the music and modelling and the latter scenario sounds – at the very least – plausible.
Whatever the case, it will be interesting to see how camp Fenty plan to mop up the mess on Aisle #R8.

Gosh, I was just about to say the exact opposite. Listen, I’m not saying its Shakespeare or anything but, imo, they generally do an awesome job of writing with their audience in mind. I don’t understand the constant reference to the mess of “R8’s” release. Did i miss a release date that has passed? Usher has been releasing singles with no album in sight for a while and there has been no issue, Rihanna releases a few (albeit lame) singles and suddenly there is an issue.
