All roads lead to December for August Alsina as the R&B heartthrob is set to warm a few hearts this winter with his sophomore release ‘This Thing Called Life,’ courtesy of Def Jam Records.
Launched by lukewarm-received tunes ‘Song Cry’ and ‘Why I Do It,’ the New Orleans-native is looking to kick anticipation for the project – in stores December 11th – into overdrive by unveiling its official cover (seen above) and lending a “sneak peek” via a recently released album trailer.
Get into it below and let us know if you’ll be picking up the new-new:
‘This Thing Called Life’ comes just a year after Alsina’s debut, ‘Testimony,’ which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
I watched his interview on The Breakfast Club and he’s an interesting guy…that interview was REAL chile…haven’t really heard his music, but I’ll definitely listen to this album when it releases 🙂
Hes just a bootleg trey songz. I hate when these r&b guys think they s e x y when they just avg
Really can’t wait for his album ! I’ve been a fan since his mixtape days! He’s so underrated his music so truthful he & he speaks on everything he feels & not to mention he is gerougous af!!!
I hope he doesn’t expect people to buy this coz he’s going to be so dissapointed when they don’t.
Guy is so depressed but and I also saw that Breakfast Club interview. Hope his finds his way. Not a fan of his voice but he does make good songs and a decent 1St album.
I’ll support.

The Sophomore slump is real.
