Last night saw many a major name hit the stage at the 2016 BET Honors at Washington DC’s Warner Theater.
The annual event which honors influential figures in the worlds of entertainment, literature, and philanthropy, this year paid homage to LA Reid, Patti Labelle, Lee Daniels, Mellody Hobson, and Eric Holder.

Yass, Toni is giving me life! Out here looking like she’s still in her ‘The Heat’ days. Usher couldn’t put on a suit? What’s with the Freddy Kreuger/Funeral Shade hat? He usually looks younger than his actual age but this get-up is not doing him any favors. Thank God Mo got rid of that Koolaid dye job because she looks better here with a more natural hue. Love that they did something to honor Natalie Cole (is that Ledisi I see!!!) because we shouldn’t have to depend on ‘them’ to honor our greats. Jazmine is glowing and I can’t wait to see the performances. Congrats to all the honorees.
