Beyonce Speaks Out Against North Carolina’s Transgender Discrimination

Beyonce is enraged with plans put in place to force transgender people use bathrooms of the gender they were born with.

Why the ‘Lemonade’ purveyor is furious about it all?

Read below…

She released the following statement via her official website:

North Carolina has been drawing the attention of the masses for new legislation that blocks cities and local governments from passing anti-discrimination measures that could protect gay and transgender people.

It all began earlier this year when Charlotte passed a decree expanding North Carolina’s anti-discrimination laws allowing LGBT people protection in places of public accommodation. The ordinance, which was set to go into effect on April 1st, would allow transgender people to use the bathrooms of the gender they identify as, amongst other progressive rights.

Rather than accepting the progression in LGBT rights, that same night, legislators returned to the state house to overrule the ordinance that would ban discrimination against LGBT people. At a special session, North Carolina’s General Assembly proposed and passed the House Bill 2 (HB2) — what has now come to be known as the “Bathroom Bill.”

As The Formation World Tour makes its stop in the Tar Heel state in the midst of such a controversial time, we think it is important for us to bring attention to those who are committed to being good and carrying on the message of equality in this core of controversy.

Among the many organizations doing the good work to get this bill overturned, there is Equality NC, a local organization dedicated to securing equal rights and justice for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) North Carolinians.

Not everyone sees eye to eye with performer.

Why?

Hahahaha Yawn Yanw . Say Yawn… Beyonce is just too basic for me but lemonade was good though

    • Nina May 5, 2016

Did you attend? No. So, why does this effect or affect you? The question is rhetorical because the answer is simple, this has nothing to do with you. You researched ticket prices for this rehashed tour, and your information is incorrect, yet you’re so affected you came to TGJ to announce your displeasure.

This is why the word “hater” is utilized. I think the more appropriately fitting terms are “envious” “jealous” and “miserable” all of which you appear to be. Don’t bother rebottling, we’re done here.

      • ilovemusic May 5, 2016

You mean lip sync. Lipsing is not a word lol.

    • Bev048 May 5, 2016

Inspiration? to? Now if you said Oprah, Aretha, Whitney, Tina Turner or even your own MOTHER maybe. But this girl? Beyonce and Rihanna are gimmicks of other singers from the past. Inspire what? Trashy Behavior.

      • Jackson 5 Nostrils (Tyler) May 5, 2016

At least Beyonce is actually speaking up about how blacks and gay people get treated by society and the media. I’m glad that she’s not afraid to use her platform for positive empowerment. She stood her ground when the racists and cop apologists came for her back in February (Black History Month ✊).
Everybody wanted Beyonce to say something , and she did! What more do you want ?

    • #formulation ?☕ May 5, 2016

Even if she is an inspiration to ‘gay little boys without fathers’ she is still an inspiration, nonetheless. Standing up for equality.

There are lots of inspiring people in this world,Oprah, your mama, whoeva u want. Unfortunately for the world, ur not. Have a seat on a ? cactus with your negativity and negative attitudes.

      • Leah May 5, 2016

Beyonce is a trashy s**** who has never written one song

  5. Jackson 5 Nostrils (Tyler) May 5, 2016

I heard Ciara was arrested in North Carolina for using the womens restroom #FreeHeHe

    • Bey Bey King May 5, 2016

You’re laughing but most trans people are easily clockable so this law hurts them. You know you wouldn’t be confident with your mom going to the bathroom with what essentially looks like a man in a dress. The trans community is yet to acknowledge that pro trans laws only benefit trans people who can afford to have the kind of plastic surgery that makes them convincing.

      • Jackson 5 Nostrils (Tyler) May 5, 2016

        Shut yo ass up!

    • toeknee May 5, 2016

      Lol free cimans.

  6. S****** Blonde May 5, 2016

She didn’t write that, I even doubt she know what’s going on.

    • Jackson 5 Nostrils (Tyler) May 5, 2016

I’d expect you to say something like that White Supremacist.

      • S****** Blonde May 5, 2016

Funny you call me that, isn’t your girl a black supremacist?……..With a blonde wig ? But as long as isn’t a white thing is okay, right?

      • toeknee May 5, 2016

Stfu suicidecracker, the fact you think you make any sense is baffling & yes you have shown severally to be an ignorant white old f a g who is either just illiterate or finds himself funny.
This is the same old man who said he wanted to take his life after David Bowie’s death…..you just pathetic.

      • S****** Blonde May 5, 2016

When did I say that I wanted to end my life?……..Receipts.

      • S****** Blonde May 5, 2016

        Eww ?

      • Golden May 5, 2016

Thats funny, that’s the SAME RESPONSE that piece of s*** had. Birds of a feather indeed do flock together

      • S****** Blonde May 5, 2016

What other response you expect me to give after you called me a gay black people hater?…..If you think about it, I’m even too kind.

      • Golden May 5, 2016

Another typical response from a closeted racist. Run along before you miss that meeting.

  7. Rihboy May 5, 2016

Ki! Who on her team drew this up!??? no damn well that girl ain’t this literate.

    • toeknee May 5, 2016

And yet frih is the one who speaks in monosyllabic words sounding like a stammering goat.

  8. Cinnamon Girl May 5, 2016

Anything for attention, Big Bird. Since when did she become so political?

    • toeknee May 5, 2016

Like wtf, beyonce is out here helping your fave heara. You should be thanking here.

    • Speakonit May 5, 2016

“Since when did she become so political?”, I think it’s around the same time you tested positive.

      • Cinnamon Girl May 5, 2016

        Lame. Just like Big Bird

      • Speakonit May 5, 2016

I mean, it’s the truth, why are you upset lol. Oh ok, I didn’t mean to expose your business.

  9. Lea May 5, 2016

Girl Bye! Anyways is it me or has Bey been getting dragged a little more than often lately… I havent seen Beyonce getting dragged so much since her early Destiny’s Child days and that was rough! It’s been consistent and on almost every other blog or facebook post. People have finally had enough of her and her fake ass beehive trolls and tbh im here for it. The lil girl is #overrated and a known thief!

    • Golden May 5, 2016

For every one person who hates her, there’s a million who love her. When you have it all, talent, beauty, and success, it comes with the territory. Every music legend and icon is hated on, from Janet, Madonna, MJ, Whitney, Mariah, and so forth. So again, the bigger you are, the greater the hate.

      • S****** Blonde May 5, 2016

Not you comparing her to those people, the delusion is real ???

    • Golden May 5, 2016

Please take your cracker ass back to your sister’s room, she’s waiting for you. You know how you all start from there.

    • Cinnamon Girl May 5, 2016

@Lea, I notices that too. Lots of folks are getting tired of Big Bird and Joe Camel. They’re getting more hate than love and it’s showing in her flopped projects. Ivy Park is still not sold out

      • rosy3 May 5, 2016

Beyonce is a bandwagoner with no clear vision or thoughts to anything meaningful she a puppet to jayz and people around her whatever is popular she gets on it gluten free delivery meals athletic wear now vitamin watermelon water how can you be at this age taking white men money 50 million from Pepsi one year but now you black panther singing about your husband cheated and posing with trayvon mother it’s all about money for bey

  10. Lea May 5, 2016

Oh and also unless someone has been tutoring her in between shows, she did not write that. Guh you tried it!

  11. blue May 5, 2016

Im sorry but why not just use the toilet u were born to use, dont trans people realise that not every person is comfortable with their life choice, good god u r getting everything else you got to have the toilet seat too?

  12. blue May 5, 2016

Better statement eould be if she refused to hold a concert there then released this statement to explain her reasoning, now its like when you scold a child for kicking a ball inside the house then give him back the the ball. Like whats the point?

    • toeknee May 5, 2016

So the many stans (straight, gay, trans ) who attended the show should have been disappointed. Please be logical when commenting rihtarddd

      • blue May 5, 2016

Isnt the point to this, so her fans stand up and act? What would make them do that when essentially they arent give a motive to. Think of the child in my example, what motive would he have to change his behaviour when he still gets his way after the scolding?

      • blue May 5, 2016

And insults arent a legitimate argument, learn how to converse with other with differing opinions than yourself. Dont always resort to insults it negates any argument you might have to offer.

  13. #JACKIE May 5, 2016

    Who tf cares?

  14. Nina May 5, 2016

I’m not Trans, so I can’t personally relate to their struggles. But, what kills me is TGJ allows these deranged lunatics to create multiple accounts and run their website commenting section often posting multiple comments within minutes of each other. We have to cypher through their bulls**t in order to read genuine comments/opinions.

I am all for freedom of choice to love or hate an artist. This is overbearing with 15 year olds in high school waking up at 0600am in the morning dusting off dirty jeans from the hamper and logging onto the grape juice to comment on Beyonce post. You’ll notice, comments die down during the hours of 0900am-1500 due to the children being in school. All of a sudden you have an influx of multiple comments after school hours.

  15. A&R May 5, 2016

I’m pro choice meaning… You should reserve the right to live how you want. I don’t support imposing your life choices on someone else. Allowing transgender ppl to go into bathrooms they chose may eliminate their risk of being exposed to bathroom hate crimes but it now increases the risk of others. I’m blown at how celebs and politicians don’t see that. Every transgender person isn’t into the the same s**. Some actually are still attracted to the opposition s**. So what happens if one who loves the opposite is also capable of r*** or other offensive behavior? This is unfair. Why not create more unisex restrooms? And label them as such…. That way man, woman, cat and dog can access as much as they want and it’ll be less clockable across the board. This almost angers me. The at time the gay/transgender political agenda can seem scary. Instead of aiming to better coexist many or doing the very things they hate that aggressive heterosexual people do.

      Thank u. Unisex bathrooms

  16. No favs, just here for the music May 5, 2016

I’m not too sure how I feel about this…don’t get me wrong because I’m very pro transgender and equal rights. Therefore, I don’t mind at all sharing the same bathroom but how would we be able to tell the difference between actual trans woman and the perverts (faking) just to take advantage of the situation? God forbid some creep waits until a woman is alone in the bathroom and sexually assaults her?
But at the same time I don’t want trans woman using the mens bathroom because they can also get abused/assaulted.
Idk man, this is much more complicated then I thought

    • No favs, just here for the music May 5, 2016

And also the flip side of trans men in women’s bathrooms? Have you seen trans men?? 9 times out of 10 you can never tell they used to be female plus the hormones changes their genitalia.

  17. Ladylike May 5, 2016

I’m glad Beyonce is speaking our but I don’t care for the LGBT and especially transgenders. That is a sinful life.

    • OMG Logic!!! May 5, 2016

Your imaginary man in the sky doesn’t exist. Stop using him as an excuse for your bigotry.

      • Ladylike May 5, 2016

He does exist and you will realize.

  18. B2B May 5, 2016

If B tickets are high then Drake tickets are through the damn roof! 200$ is not a lot of money, yall cheap asses! I see why y’all faves only make moves on the stream side of the charts. Formation stil #2 on itunes by the way… 🙂

    • OMG Logic!!! May 5, 2016

My faves sell out 50-80k stadiums all over the world and they don’t need to charge a hand and a leg to put on a show that makes Thighyonce’s look like some local club show.

Some artists put their fans before their margin of profit.

      • B2B May 5, 2016

B**** let me tell you something! I saw Bey perform in the f****** rain the other night so f*** hat you are talking about this b**** said if yall going to b out here then so am I. That’s a performer! That is showmanship! Her tickets are well priced and she is the Queen what do you expect? This is Quality.

      • OMG Logic!!! May 5, 2016

When did performing in the rain become some inspirational achievement? You have a commitment and you keep it even if you get your ass wet.

Yes, I do expect quality from someone who charges as much as Thighyonce. All I get is the same tired dancers doing the same tired dance routines with the same tired leotards. My faves get f*cking robots, flying trapeze artists, flamethrowers, god knows how many lasers, and the best visuals in the industry. Oh and drones. Lots and lots of drones.

  19. OMG Logic!!! May 5, 2016

As always, the last person to speak up about social issues is Ms. Inspirational Thighyonce. Meanwhile, unlike real protestors, she’s more than happy to show up and gauge the f*ck out of her poor but beloved stans. SMH.

  20. JOHNVIDAL May 5, 2016

Well, Beyonce is not an inspiration that´s for sure.
But I agree on this so no shade. I was just going to leave the possitive meaaga that i agree with her, but some of her fans here ruined it saying she is an inspiration. Guys relax. It´s not like she´s a human rights leader. She is vocal when it is not too controversial for the day and age we are in. Just that.

  21. zeroing ivy bloper tran anti girl lemond time May 6, 2016

  22. Prince Kaleo May 6, 2016

You know what? None of you are actuallyeven talking about what this blog was initially discussing.I like how everyone loved Beyonce when she was quiet in Destiny’s Child had nothing to say and now that she is a grown women and uses her music to express what she has gone through or to reflect on her views about what’s going on in the world and to uplift the African-American community everyone wants to hate on her? I think that it’s actually a breath of fresh air to hear an artist of her caliber standing up and starting to speak out after being so quiet for so long. If Beyonce is such a gimmick why would she put her career on the line by allowing herself to be targeted by hating ass racist white supremacist, banned and boycotted by cops so far since this tour has begun and since she released “Formation”. She is under her own label Parkwood now and has recreated her entire team because some people at Columbia didn’t agree with her stand on this new project. She is finally letting her real voice be heard by speaking up for what she believes in and now she is taking on the hating ass media for the transgender / LGBTQ community it’s been awhile since we’ve had an artist really speak up for our right’s. I think Beyonce has always spoke through her music but now that it’s becoming more apparent and she is freely speaking her mind more everyone is ready to shame her. What y’all are witnessing is the rise of a legend hate comes with the success. I don’t hate Rihanna I actually enjoy her music but if you had to put them side by side and say who was more of a role model i’d say Beyonce was. I don’t even see why people compare them? Get it together people at the end of the day none of us know the true intention of these artists, at the end of the day they are just people like all of us they have feelings and opinions. You don’t have to agree with them all but they have the right to speak upon their views and probably see it on a much grander scale then we ever could. I don’t know i’m so over y’all hating asses become educated on what’s going on in the world.

I don’t want to use the same toilets as gay people!
