Solange pairs her powerful new album ‘A Seat At The Table’ will equally compelling visuals.

Moments ago, the soulful songstress simultaneously unwrapped the videos for songs ‘Don’t Touch My Hair’ and ‘Cranes In The Sky.’

Both clips were co-directed by the singer and her husband Alan Ferguson (whose credits include Janelle Monae and Katy Perry).

Striking, stunning, and arresting, the visuals await below…

Bold and beautiful.

As reported, ‘A Seat At The Table’ currently sits at #1 on US iTunes and within the top 10 in the UK.

With this double helping of video content, a helpful lift on the streaming front could see the LP become her highest charting yet.

Everyone says she copies off Beyonce. I’m not familiar with her music but have met her before. This girl has her own personality and music style which may not be popular but is 100% unique. Refreshing.

Because they’re usually stalking the social media pages of Beyonce, Rihanna and Rita Ora. Be thankful that Solange is Beyonce’s sister otherwise you would’ve herd of this next month.

    • #justsayn October 3, 2016

      @Levine

I am almost positive Beyonce was inspired by Solanges project and decided to do something similar. Solo has always been very creative with her albums and music. Solo wrote and produced this entire album not pay writers to write what I think and get credit for it!

      • RihYonce October 3, 2016

I believe they influenced each other. Beyonce gave us these vibes on “4” too

    She’s an amazing artist.

In all fairness Solange has achieved what Beyonce could not. Beyonce built her fan base around commercial music, which means she would alienate a lot of fans if she started making “non-hits”. So as much as Beyonce tries to change her approach and become less of a hit machine and more of an “artist” she will always have to create songs like “sorry” and “Hold Up” because thats what her fans expect. Solange has managed to somewhat crack the mainstream but staying true to her art and self. Also it is now evident that Solange’s influence was all over Lemonade – Solange is actually the real mastermind of art in the Knowles family.

    • KoolKid October 3, 2016

But then to also be fair – Solange would not be number 1 on iTunes if it had not been for Beyonce’s fame and the elevator incident despite her talent

      • Kwinzy October 3, 2016

It’s safe to say Solange & Beyonce complement each other in many ways. It’s just now people realize it.

      • Melanin God October 4, 2016

I’d say the shift in music has everybody vibing with solange she was ahead of her time! Everybody already knows her as Beyonces sister I don’t believe the elevator incident has anything to do with her success right now it’s the art. Her and Bey have the highest critically rated albums of the year they are putting in work Lemonade is more raw and angry. While A Seat At The Table is more mellow and chilled. I’m happy for both of them I have both albums why does it have to be a thing that one is better than the other or anything like that.

Why must Beyonce and Solange be compared? They’re walking in different lanes and have totally different career paths! Beyonce is expanding on the legacy that she’s built! It’s 20 years later and to continue seeing growth from an artist of her caliber is unheard of (in most cases)! Beyonce could have easily remain stuck in delivering songs like Single Ladies/Crazy in Love and ‘Lemonade’ could have been avoided altogether. She didn’t have to take any risk after reaching her level, most play it safe! If you can’t tell that it’s in Bey’s DNA to branch out and go into new territories by now, you’ll never get it! Beyonce didn’t have to make an R&B album (‘4’), when the industry was making EDM clones, Bey didn’t have to create a movement and drop the self-titled in an unconventional way, when folks we’re swearing that her career was over! She didn’t have to deliver an album full of heart and restraint (‘Lemonade’) after having people praise her so much for the album before it, which was so brazen and full of high energy! Bey’s a leader, not a follower!

Bey and Solo do compliment each other well and they share a common thread in their personal insights, music and perspectives obviously! What I notice is 2 siblings that seem to be on the same page, more than an example of one leading the other! They’re both way to developed in self to be so impressionable! Now, do they inspire each other, yes! There is a difference…

Beyonce has always had an identity crisis – and hence why she has stopped doing interviews. Beyonce is a Legend absolutely no doubt, and you are right about most of what you said – however Beyonce has always been stuck between being popular and being an artist, and I think she has finally found a happy medium. This identity crisis is exactly why she created a double disk album with Sasha Fierce, and why she created Sasha Fierce in the first place. You can tell that the music on Sasha fierce was not necessarily what she wanted to put out – but that I AM was more her lane. She learned the lesson the hard way from 4 because that was not what the fans wanted – and therefore no one brought into it. If Beyonce was able to make any music she wanted, she would make something similar to “Seat at the table” – but unfortunately she has too many moths to feed now!

  5. B&B October 3, 2016

Yes i see so much of Lemonade in “cranes in the sky” video. The staring into the camera while posing in beautiful or rugged scenery.

  6. Kwinzy October 3, 2016

Perfect blend of neosoul & PBRnB! I’m so happy Solo dropped this atom bomb of musical art over the trap world; our people need to get & stay woke! It’s been a minute since I felt passionate about something. I know Miss Badu is secretly throwing shade somewhere ’cause the influence is real. Lol, kidding. I hope y’all enjoyed these visual scalpings. That’s what you get for sleeping on a bish all these years… *sweeps edges off the floor*

  7. Kwinzy October 3, 2016

Solange be looking like a cross between Bey & Tracee Ellis Ross. And those legs!?

  11. Royalkev October 3, 2016

This b**** better read my mind! I love the vibe in the video for ‘Don’t touch my hair’! It’s a perfect mixture of that Solange flair, along with a dose of Diana’s Mahogany! I love the moodiness of the song and the lyrics aw well, but it’s nice to see a vibrant visual, filled with artistic light! The hallelujah hands and all the unconventional type of movement in the break down near the end, was everything! Madonna wish she could with her brand of yoga (sorry Blondie)… and ‘Cranes’ only further proves that Solange is an earthy goddess! I’m glad these 2 songs got video treatment first!

  12. #justsayn October 3, 2016

Every celebrity you can name have tweeted about her album she ought to sell well!

  13. zeriphucksgiveenn October 3, 2016

  14. Cold October 3, 2016

Solange has come such a long way since solo star. Im so happy shes finally getting the attention and recognition she deserves. I cant wait for her to preform some of these songs live.

  16. RihYonce October 3, 2016

Solo slayed my life with the “don’t touch my hair” video I was completely blown away & I had to watch it a few times. I’m so proud of her that video is everything I wanted it to be . The dance at the end slayed me ???

  17. RihYonce October 3, 2016

People act like Beyoncé just got on this new wave of “Artistic” visuals & music since “4” it didn’t start with “lemonade”

  18. RihYonce October 3, 2016

“Don’t Touch My Hair” is simply the best song on the album . Even though I’m in love with “Rise” “Cranes In The Sky” “Mad” “Where do we go” & “FUBU”

  19. Jjj October 3, 2016

Solo always was a real artist

  20. #TeamTinashe Stan October 3, 2016

I actually really enjoyed this album alot. I’ve even listened to it over 5 times now and I could honestly say that she is definitely the mastermind behind all the creativity in the Knowles family.
    Great job Sol!

Kelly Rowland where you at? 🙂

    • Surprise..(DEC 2013) October 3, 2016

So u are suggesting that she is behind lemonade and Beyonce cannot think for herself. I doubt Solange even knew Bey was making lemonade, as close of sisters as they are, it is pretty clear than they focus on their respective lanes. Yes, the might inspire each other, however Bey is creative on her own accord so is solange.

      • Blue Ivy Rod October 3, 2016

MEaning that she’s the “true” artist while beyonce is the entertainer of the family. Bey isn’t perfect, she can’t do everything and be anything!

I love Cranes in the Sky!!!

  23. Killian October 3, 2016

This is beginning to trouble me…solo has always been creative from way back I remember my best song “sandcastles” to “losing you” she has simply been a creative artsy musician and a bohemian but DO NOT BY ANY MEANS UNDERMINE BEYONCES CREATIVITY. Beyonce brought out 4 way back in 2011,y’all did not respect or admire her creativity then, she brought out “self titled” there were still a lot of criticism, she gifted us with lemonade which is pure art and the perfect interweaving of music and visual art that is old ,current and futuristic and y’all did not “fully appreciate ” her creativity now you want to go there and say she is “sol inspired” ..nobody should go there . Beyonce is just as creative as Sol and props to her for being very commercial about it to!
