Her new single ‘Never Really Over’ is crushing the world of radio this week after it earned 173 adds from stations eager to support the feel-good tune and the project Katy may (or may not) be creating to support it.
With this, she crushes radio spins secured by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Bebe Rexha, 5 Seconds of Summer and DJ Khaled…two years after critics wrote her off following the unveiling of the so-so selling set ‘Witness.’
Right below her? The Chainsmokers and their jam ‘Call You Mine‘ which bagged 66 adds.

cut the media propoganda! katy perry is once again being “pushed” to appear more successful than she really is with this latest, sub par release. there is nothing magical or unique about the record & everyone knows it! her fan base are simply excited to have something NEW from her, but the release isn’t a special offering.

I like Katy so I love the new song & I am happy to hear new music from her! That’s all, that’s it period..no conspiracy. Her voice sounds great on this song. Same goes with Ciara…and her reboot. Although she didn’t sell much (due to her fan base, I guess) she has a great album & I am happy she has new music out.

Clearly payola because this clearly is one of her worst releases as official singles witha video. It still is feel good enough in typical Katy Perry form. But baby for an artist who comes from a flop era, it is not normal that radio supports her like nothing and being it a weak single. Payola no doubt. Chained to the Rythm was so much better.
