There may be but a few weeks left of 2019, but it looks as though Ariana Grande will be crowning the year with the release of yet another project.
For, the songbird has revealed she will be hatching her much discussed live album before the year’s end.
During a Twitter Q&A with fans, the star was quizzed on the release date of the set – which chronicles her ‘Sweetener World Tour.’ She confirmed that the LP will arrive imminently digitally:
This year, she dropped the ‘thank u, next’ album – six months after its predecessor ‘Sweetener.’ November then brought with it the release of the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ soundtrack which she executive produced and appeared on.
And while some may think a live album may be overkill and runs risk of overexposure, we’re we’re here for it.
On the one hand, because the live album format has proven to work in the current climate (see: Beyonce’s ‘Homecoming’). And, on the other, it’s because we’re keen for Ari to remind the masses of her vocal gravitas.
Sure, the likes of ‘7 Rings’ and her recent Trap-flavored bops function as a “necessary” means to an end, but if there’s any act of the current crop of young singers to remind of the potency of live singing it’s Ms. Grande. So, bring it!
