After a lengthy absence from the music scene, Tamar Braxton comes roaring back with new single, ‘Crazy Kind Of Love.’
The soulful track – lifted from the soundtrack for the soon-to-be-released movie ‘True To The Game 2’ (in which the singer stars alongside Vivica A. Fox, Andra Fuller, Rotimi, and more) – sees the 43-year-old pay homage to one of her idols; Whitney Houston.
Prominently sampling the Pop icon’s first chart-topper, 1985’s ‘Saving All My Love For You,’ listen inside for the Hitmaka-produced song that Braxton claims made her fall in love with music again (click here to read that).
One listen and you’ll see why:

Tamar did her thing on this song. Yung Berg did great on the production as well.
This song is beautiful….. What good way to start building a comeback…. And maintain a low personal profile

Very nice song
Estine can sang. Purchased
Yeah, Imma hate.
I tried for MONTHS to submit 2 gamechanging hits to Tamar only to get nowhere. And then releases her comeback single, which is 1. derivative of another song and 2. probably not going to get airplay past adult urban radio.
It’s not a bad song, and Tamar sounds good (as always), but it’s time for her to swing for the fences.
What’s you IG? Do you display any of your work on there?
I don’t put any tracks on IG, and I use it only to make contacts. I’m a songwriter, but I don’t use leased tracks. Since the songs I demo’d are custom tracks co-owned by the producers I work with, I think having product I want to place out there makes it less likely that a song will be optioned.
One of the songs is a big diva anthem. Tamar is perfect for it. I’m going to try placing it with another artist, but THE voice I have heard on this song since I heard it is Tamar’s.
She always comes back with a good song and disappears as quickly as she came. I won’t get my hopes up.
You suppose to clap her back like it’s Purple Rain. Of course, Tamar is not a Narcissist. So do expect much.
don’t
Artistic omnipresence depends on critical reception and commercial success.
SHE DID THAT! I like when Tamar puts some relaxer in her vocals. Such song could make her a bridge between old and new R&B. And, oh my God, is her chest voice huskying up? Luckily, she’s had no C-section or that bell-like top range would have been amputated. Beep beep Celine and Mariah. ?
Sounds rather flat to me.
