That’s because Avery Wilson has no identity as an artist. Amazing vocals alone won’t get you far in the music industry. Khalid has a very distinct tone and his music resonates with the masses. He also has a machine behind him, something that Avery lacks. Once Avery gets a better team (stylists, writers, producers, management) then just maybe he’ll make some noise. Until then, he’ll continue to post snippets on IG and tour the chitlin circuit.
