Pink Reveals She Tested Positive For Coronavirus

Published: Saturday 4th Apr 2020 by Rashad

On the eve of her debut album’s 20th anniversary, ‘Can’t Take Me Home’ hitmaker P!nk is urging fans to stay home to help flatten the curve of the coronavirus pandemic after testing positive for the disease two weeks ago.

In a surprising announcement lifted to Instagram late Friday (April 3), the Grammy winner (born Alecia Moore) revealed she and her three-year-old son, Jameson, were examined after exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 – a measure that resulted in confirmation she had contracted it.

Assuring fans she is now coronavirus-free after following doctor’s orders, Moore’s lengthy social media post also saw her announce a $500,000 donation to the Philadelphia hospital where her mother was employed for nearly 20 years.

Two weeks ago my three-year old son, Jameson, and I are were showing symptoms of COVID-19. Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive. My family was already sheltering at home and we continued to do so for the last two weeks following the instruction of our doctor. Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative. It is an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely accessible. This illness is serious and real. People need to know that the illness affects the young and old, healthy and unhealthy, rich and poor, and we must make testing free and more widely accessible to protect our children, our families, our friends and our communities. In an effort to support the healthcare professionals who are battling on the frontlines every day, I am donating $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of my mother, Judy Moore, who worked there for 18 years in the Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplant Center. Additionally, I am donating $500,000 to the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund. THANK YOU to all of our healthcare professionals and everyone in the world who are working so hard to protect our loved ones. You are our heroes! These next two weeks are crucial: please stay home. Please. Stay. Home.❤️

Good for her for donating as much as she did.
I wish though that she hadn’t been re-tested. There would be no need to be re-tested if she followed doctor’s orders as she stated. Now there’s 1 less test available for someone else in need.

      Why shouldn’t she be re-tested?
How would they know if she is cured or not?

Do u know how tests are done?

She more than paid for that test with her donations… fool.

Wishing her a speedy recovery! At this juncture, every damn body is going to get this ?. Somebody knows what truly led to this outbreak and this new strain of the coronavirus. I’m convinced it was man made. Be safe everyone. This mess is scary

. I guess her taking a Hiatus for music is her just catching a corona

    • #TheTruth April 4, 2020

Virus or not, can you tell me exactly what are her options ? Everyone is supposed to stay home. It doesn’t mean she’s not writing or planning future gigs or whatever. But of course most artists are on hiatus since they can’t be physically active.
Your comment doesn’t make any sense.
