Last summer saw Disney‘s live-action version of ‘The Lion King’ make an almighty roar at the box office. With many attributing Beyonce‘s involvement – as Nala – as one of the key drivers for the flick’s billion dollar domination.
It appears the media juggernaut agrees. Because, sources say Disney and Queen Bey are in “advanced talks” for a major partnership deal.

Per a new report, the singer is believed to be hashing out a $100 million, 3-project deal that would include her helming the ‘Black Panther 2’ soundtrack and involvement with new streamer Disney Plus.
Citing a source said to be close to the situation, T.S shared:
“Beyoncé has become a major player for Disney and is the perfect fit for their brand.
She’s worked on a number of projects for them, including voicing Nala in the reboot of The Lion King, and now they’re keen to secure her for more projects.
Disney have put forward a deal worth around $100 million (£80million), which will secure Beyoncé for three major projects, including the Black Panther sequel.
As part of the deal they are also trying to get her team to agree to have Beyoncé voicing some of the new documentaries coming to Disney Plus.
After the success of having Meghan Markle voicing the film Elephant on the platform, they have projects coming up which align perfectly with Beyoncé’s brand.”

Bey does have a really good ear for music, but I’ve always thought Matthew had the best understanding of how to help her sound and image resonate with the general public.
Both of you are very correct. I will admit I skipped The gift, the soundtrack and movie believing it would all be corny as hell but honestly The Goft was good for what it was. But Matthew couldve made it bigger. It was interesting to see how fans gravitated more with Brown Skin Girl and Mood 4 Eva yet she continued to push Spirit and Bigger. While Bigger was so damn good, Spirit was absolutely terrible for a lead single, especially if you plan for an album to be promoted solely on the wings of a single and video. This whole “not doing promo” is pretentious b******* at this point and one of the reasons The Gift went unnoticed and unappreciated.

The Gift was… ok. I’ve been to Africa multiple times I was expecting more authentic sounds. I know she tried to merge different sounds, and I applaud her for doing so. I was just expecting to hear more sonorities like I’ve heard during my trips. More tribal sounds, more African drums.
