Chris Brown Announces Title of Forthcoming 10th Album

Published: Thursday 9th Jul 2020 by Rashad

At writing, Chris Brown is enjoying his latest Hot 100 top 40 single courtesy of ‘Go Crazy’ – a tune from his joint EP with Young Thug (released May 5).

Despite the project arriving less than a year after his 37-track 9th album, 2019’s ‘Indigo,’ Brown is already announcing he’s already putting the finishing touches on its follow-up.

Details inside:

Taking to Instagram Thursday (July 9), the GRAMMY winner announced his forthcoming LP would be titled ‘Breezy’ – a nod to his nickname.   Turning comments off on the post, he offered little other pertinent detail (i.e. release date, first single, etc.).

The revelation comes just four months after the R&B bad boy took to the same platform to announce he was hard-at-work at a short film to support his 9th album, ‘Indigo’ (as we reported here).

As of time reported, there’s no update on that project’s release timelline.

Chris got potential and is talented but my God why does he continue with quantity material ….the last few albums have been mediocre at best and left over tracks from each album. We need a theme direction, lyrical content, soul, true singing, less rap no auto tune period etc. Like respectfully I understand how he can be viewed our generation’s MJ yet sometimes I strongly disagree because of these very regards like the Legends would absolutely NEVER. Especially considering aside from the dancing and video cinematography, MJ was a perfectionist about his craft first and foremost where’s today music is soulless garbage. MJ made home dinner, these guys are ordering cheap takeout at best.

      Amen

This is why Chris Brown will NEVER be the “King of R&B”.

How many forgettable albums, full of mediocre material has he released over the course of 10 years? I can’t even count. His eras run together. His “accomplishments” are all smoke and mirrors.

I could respect CB if he actually took the time to craft an R&B classic that will withstand the test of time. He hasn’t had an impactful hit in YEARS. This is why artists such as Bruno and The Weeknd are ahead of him, when in fact it should be the other way around.

CB is in his 30’s nows. If he truly wants to be taken seriously as an artist, the time is NOW.

Haven’t we suffered enough already this year? 🙄 I stopped listening to him after F.A.M.E.

    Bye girl.

This will be another album of quantity over actual quality. Hopefully he will create better material because he has been releasing subpar songs

Another 37 track album full of fuckboy material. Ill pass.

He doesn’t give us a chance to miss him!!! He pushes too music music at once. His last album hasn’t even been out a year! Does he care about quality?

The thing that everyone has to remember is that there is clearly an audience for the music he puts out. There will always be people that put on his songs to get hyped up before they go out, or as the soundtrack to between the sheets action. Sometimes you just want to listen to ratchet turn up music. And to be honest, after what he did to Rihanna, he’s lucky to even still have such a big career.
I’ve been a big fan of his since the first album, but admittedly, F.A.M.E. was his last really great body of work. Royalty was ok and I liked the fact that he tapped into the ‘80s on that project, but it still had its flaws. X was also pretty cohesive overall as an album.

Chris is a LEGEND. And, trust, alot of his emusic is very much memorable. AND those residual checks I’m sure are LIT. Y’all can keep hating on him if you want. He’s been in the game half the time as Y’all faves and they dropped out of the charts years ago. I will say that his last album was FIRE …not so much the one before that but it still charted. Seems like every other album of his be lit AF. Nevertheless, I’ll anxiously wait on the next one. Oh and hus concerts are TOP NOTCH.

He hasn’t had a #1 hit since 2007 let that sink in

    • Holliewuudd July 9, 2020

lies, he’s had plenty…maybe not on hot 100 but definitely rnb

      • Holliewuudd July 9, 2020

And for that matter many would argue longevity is better than number 1s. Longevity will keep the checks rolling in. Mariah has 19 but ain’t nobody checking for her, besides me, when she comes out

      • G-bby July 9, 2020

Mariah is undoubtably a legend with 19 classic #1’s. Chris………not so much. His music is mostly throwaway.

      • Holliewuudd July 9, 2020

Yep he’s throwing it all in the bank
