Lady Gaga Gives Emotional Speech Slamming Racism & White Supremacy After Winning Higher Ground Award

Published: Sunday 17th Jan 2021 by Sam

Lady Gaga has long used her platform to champion positive change in society.

And tonight, she was recognised for her efforts by The King Center at the 2021 Beloved Community Awards.

The singer, actress, and philanthropical leader of the Born This Way Foundation was presented with the Higher Ground Award, which she dedicated to people of color.

During the 8-minute acceptance speech, she condemned racism and white supremacy.

Watch her share powerful words at the ceremony (which was founded in the name of Martin Luther King Jr.) below…

Kudos to Gaga for continually speaking up and out about vital causes and doing so unapologetically.

As reported, the next major stage the 34-year-old will take to is the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. She’ll be performing the US National Anthem at the January 20 ceremony.
