Fantasia took to social media Monday (April 5) to reveal she is in the hospital due to pregnancy complications.

The GRAMMY winner gave her fans quite the scare when she updated her Instagram stories to alert followers that she was hospitalized due to experiencing contractions at just 6 months.

Sharing footage from the hospital, Fannie said:

“Good morning, we’ve been in the hospital all day. We have to stay in the hospital for a while. My baby girl thinks she’s missing something out here. She gots to stay in there a little longer.”

Before elaborating on her symptoms, she was sure to give a nod to her husband Kendall Taylor.

“I thank God for my husband. He’s over there knocked out. Poor thing, he been riding in there with me,” she said before continuing,“My contractions are starting to come down now. My body’s just tired. But we got this, know what I mean?”

While the baby girl will be the couple’s first child together, it will be Fantasia’s third (following daughter Zion, 19, and son Dallas, 9, from previous relationships).
