Longtime fans of 50 Cent know his beef with Murder Inc. star Ja Rule extends for decades, a feud that’s also seen the ‘In Da Club‘ hitmaker take aim at the latter’s label cohorts Ashanti and Irv Gotti.
As unconfirmed reports of Gotti’s death swept the Web on Tuesday (February 4), Cent (born Curtis Jackson) made headlines for shockingly insensitive comments about the music exec in what were believed to be his final hours at the time.
Once official news of the Murder Inc. co-founder’s passing hit the net on Wednesday (February 5), Jackson returned to social media to take yet another jab at Irv.
50 took to Instagram to crack jokes just moments after news dropped of Irv’s death.
“I’m smoking on dat Gotti pack, nah God bless him. LOL,” he posted to his 33.9 million followers on the platform.
The statement earned a number of jeers from social media users, many of whom deemed it “disgusting” and deeply insensitive.
