It’s official; Yung Miami‘s ‘Spend Dat‘ is a bona fide smash.
The latest single from her yet-titled debut solo album, ‘Spend’ continues to take social media by storm with its infectious chorus – a status that’s transcended mediums and translated into handsome streams, sales, and radio airplay for the former City Girls star.
As if the J. White Did It-produced bop hadn’t already marked enough of a personal Billboard milestone for Miami (born Caresha Brownlee) by becoming her highest-charting hit yet by her lonesome, this week it jumped to previously uncharted territory for her on the Hot 100.
‘Spend’ is found at #34 on the updated Hot 100 – a move that represents a 13-spot jump from last week. Here are the numbers that powered the placement.
- Streaming ≈ 7.2 million U.S.-based streams
- Sales ≈ 1,000 copies sold
- Radio Airplay ≈ 11.5 million audience impressions
Brownlee may have previously enjoyed Hot 100 top 40 success with the #26- and #29-peaking City Girls hits ‘Act Up‘ and ‘Twerk‘ respectively, but the #34 ascension of ‘Spend’ comes as the first time she’s reached the chart region alone.
The continued buzz around the scamming celebration song only adds anticipation for the new music set to line the tracklist of her upcoming debut solo album which will also feature the warmly received tunes ‘Tea Time‘ and ‘News Flash.’
