Alexandra Burke has been particularly quiet of late. However, we have it on good word that the Pop powerhouse is brewing something super special.
Pending its unveiling, the 24 year old recorded a version 1973 Bond theme ‘Live And Let Die’ – at the personal request of Simon Cowell. The X Factor alum’s version was played during the judges entrance on the US incarnation of the show last month.
And while in no way set to feature on her upcoming new album, it’s always great hearing new Ms. Burke material.
Take a listen after the jump…

The tone, power, and delivery of Alex’s vocals never cease to amaze. She sounds incredible. And while this isn’t the genre we’re anticipating from her third LP (which’ll also dub as her US debut), there’s no denying her voice can play well in any lane.
Bring on that new album already!

I live the cover Alexandra sings it well
I think Alex and Leona are two of the most talented contestants to come outta the X factor but unfortunately the record labels are not marketing these girls to the best of their potential. Both these ladies have what it takes to be international stars.
People prefer to listen to fake autotuned singers than real talent!
She handled this classic track. She gave it what it needs at the various points it changes.
Good on her.
I f****** hate X-factor puppets.
No originality, no genuine passion, no unique sound – just standard, conveyor belt trash!
I love her and I love Beyoncé my Queens! They along with Christina Aguilera have the best voices this generation no doubt
