Yet, for all his success behind the scenes, he seems adamant on becoming a singing star in his own right. And, despite prior efforts failing to advance his cause, he has tried again with new album ‘IV Play’.
Having called on the likes of Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Kelly Rowland for support this go round, can Dream finally score a hit as the banner act? The answer awaits after the jump…

No matter which way it’s diced or sliced, this is all sorts of a mucky mess. Of course, this has no bearing on Dream’s hitmaker status, yet given the guests featured we at least expected double these numbers. It really makes one wonder how few units would have been shifted had the project been an entirely solo effort.
Whatever the case, the figures point to a potent disconnect between Terius and the record buying public. Put simply, no one appears to care. Moral of the story? Much like will.i.am, it seems the masses would prefer The-Dream keep his dreams of solo success to himself.

Well he put the whole album on youtube for streaming which was a stupid idea. He never sold albums so hopefully this is the world telling him he needs to stop. Keyshia is prolly somewhere laughing her ass off.
What an absolute catastrophe. This is one of the lowest selling of the year thus far. Granted, he is a formidable song-writer, but that is as far as it goes and SHOULD go. His vocal ability is weak and of limited range, not one suitable for that of recording. These album figures are a perfect example of blind, misleading collaborations; it just goes to show that even collaborating with some of the biggest names in music doesn’t necessarily mean that your album is going to sell.

I can only show some positivity and gratitude to the Dream for his participation on Kelly Rowland’s new album, an album which deserves to sell at least 100K.
