Ever-eclectic Janelle Monae lives up to her billing in the visual for her latest single ‘Primetime’.
Featuring fellow R&B rule-breaker Miguel, the clip for the track (which serves as the third to be lifted from Monae’s latest LP ‘The Electric Lady’), is described a love story based on the early adventures of Cindi Mayweather (Monae) and her first love Joey Vice (Miguel). The Emotion Picture gives a glimpse at Cindi’s humble beginnings as a “cyber-server” at the Electric Sheep nightclub, where she first encounters Vice.

Stunning visuals for a stellar song.
US fans can catch Janelle on ‘The Electric Tour’, which kicks off this week in Philadelphia. Click here to buy tickets!

This was great.
im not really into her like that but that was actually a really cute video i like her hair like that
THIS is R&B this is MUSIC!!!!!
Spill it!
Now this is a video!!!! She may have had what was supposed to be “robot strippers” in it, but at least they weren’t looking all nasty and stank. It was a pretty tasteful and romantic video. Janelle looks beautiful and she kept her clothes on. I liked that there wasn’t a whole bunch of s** all through out the entire thing. I wish there were more videos like this. Oh, and the cinematography was beautiful.
Stunning song. This is music!
Wow! That was awesome. I need to stop sleeping on this girl, I’m late!
The album is amazing as a whole.
Best tracks: the duet with Prince, “Rock & Roll” and “What an experience”. Amazing.
she is too under rated
Love it, love it love it!!!!!!!
Love them both! So much talent.
Video was amazing.
