As his pal Usher continues to craft the masterpiece many hope his next album will be, Rico Love continues to soar towards critical acclaim today, doing so with his very own take on Rick Ross‘ ‘Devil is a Lie.’
A far cry from the Pop radio-ready hits he penned for the likes of Beyonce and Kelly Rowland, his remix of the jam stands as nothing short of fire…even though its Hip Hop cliche-soaked do very little to showcase the genius that earned a 2009 Grammy nomination for the smash hit, ‘Sweet Dreams.’

Prop to Rico for doing his thing…but I gotta call him out for the terrible comeback effort he produced for Brandy and Monica a couple years ago. That was not cute.
Ok! He’s so corny and coonish. I hated his work on Mary’s “My Life 2” album, even though that album did sell over 800K in the U.S.
I sympathise. I’ve been there too!
