The MTV Video Music Awards 2011 are almost upon us. Airing live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre, the event sees performances from the likes of Lady GaGa, Adele, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Lil’ Wayne, Jessie J and more. Of course, the August 28th show will witness many a coveted award handed out.

Britney was epic back then.The funny thing about her snake performance is that I never found the specific snake bit so impressive.I consider this performance epic because of the caves, the energy and the choreo, but the snake had been done before (by Aaliyah)
Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ performance was typical Beyonce.Great, on point, but not epic.Her ‘Ring The Alarm’ performance was better tbh, but there was nothing Janet-ish about it.
I still don’t think GaGa’s performance was memorable.It was too busy.I think she tried to do an over-dramatized edition of Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ performance at the VMA’s but she failed.And she hasn’t been confirmed for the Britney tribute…Is it just a rumour or do you have a valid source?

I know I’m young and all, but how come Chris Brown ’07 perfromance never makes any1’z list I know it had Rihanna in all ( Pls don’t kill me), but you have to admit that what sky-rocketed their careers that year and was the epic peformance that show

I love Bey’s performances….she has so much energy and stage presence. Ring the Alarm was amazing. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys was also a fave of mine, cause I love the song so much. Another would be MJ’s medley.
I can’t wait till this weekend. I think it’s going to be a great show.
