Congratulations are in order for Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande.
For, the Pop forces have seen their chart darling status cemented on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

Defining dominance, the young talents have exerted quite the strong hold on the top ten of the US tally. Indeed, both boast three appearances in the Hot 100.
Grande’s ‘Break Free’ leaps fourteen spots to #4, while ‘Problem’ slips one spot to #7. ‘Bang Bang’, the singer’s collaboration with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj dips one spot to #10.
Azalea, who guests on ‘Problem’, shares the song’s charting. Elsewhere, her own monster single ‘Fancy’ sits at #5, while its follow-up ‘Black Widow (ft. Rita Ora)’ has climbed seven spots to #8.
The chart slayage serves as a major coup for both ladies projects; it becomes the 2nd top ten placing for Iggy’s ‘The New Classic’ and gives a huge boost to Grande’s sophomore set ‘My Everything’ which arrives on August 25th.
Both stars will be taking to the stage at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday and will no doubt give an added push to their respective LP’s. More power to ’em!

I love iggy as a performer, by performer I mean modelling and acting in her videos, she’s hot. But her rapping skills are basic as a child learning rhymes for the first time. Black Widow is catchy but it feels empty in its verses and the lyrics are WEAK! Don’t get me started on Break Free… Congrats for the achievement but charting and credibility are two different things. If I were an artist, credibility and critical acclaim would be more of an achievement compared to my chart performance
